Title: Ocean-swimming feature?
Post by: TomasGrizzly on June 09, 2019, 06:19:02 AM
Sorry if this should go elsewhere...
regarding the newly-announced Island Living expansion, there are a few questions popping up for me.
Should anyone find the answers over time, can you let us know?
1) is the ocean-swimming feature of the pre-EP patch or exclusive to the EP? Or even limited to the EP world?
2) sun tanning and seasons cross-play. Will temperature (hot/very hot/heatwave) affect this?

And possibly, what is part of the pre-EP patch, because I've not seen anything in that regard apart from the 350 color swatches across already existing items, though I suspect the 'pride month' content will be a part of it.

@TomasGrizzly ocean swimming is only available in the new world shipping with Island Living. And no information is up on tanning other that yes it exist and so can tan lines. I started a thread on Island living here https://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/forum/index.php?topic=30796.0

I believe they stated they were hoping to get open water swimming working in all worlds eventually. Evidently that is being worked on now, so they know we want it and are probably going to provide it.

I've eventually found these answers in several places but forgot to come back here and say so. Anyway, thanks for answering.

I don't know if suntanning is affected by temperature but it is definitely affected by weather, such as clouds and rain.

How so?  In RL you can get one heck of a sunburn on a cloudy day.  Is it not possible in IL?

@Joria  no if it is cloudy in-game then your sims can not sunbathe. They get a message saying it is too cloudy. *shrug*
