Title: How to build a Circular driveway?
Post by: cheernasticDance Flygirl on December 19, 2010, 02:35:38 PM
How do I build a Circular Driveway that the Sims would actually drive on? I was thinking of just changing the terrain paints to an interlock looking type of thing, but I wasn't sure if the Sims would actually drive on it. I was thinking it would be more of a "just for show" thing.

Unless you're talking about some advanced CAW stuff, the paint you have in build mode is just for show. When your car comes to your house, the sim gets out of the car and the car itself is magically transported to a parking spot on the lot. In fact, you can place the parking lot on the roof, with moveobjects on, and the car will be parked there. ;)

For an example have a look at the Landgraab mansion who have a curved driverway going to the door then out.

The reason a car will park there in front of the Landgraab mansion is, if you look closely, there is a parking spot placed there.  It can be hard to see because it shows up only as a bar.  The car never really drives there, it just magically appears from the roadway to the front of the house.
