After updating with the Dec 4th patch, my game options all show 162.5 in the drop down menus. Like "Display Type:" 162.5 Resolution: 162.5 and on and on?!?! I have no mods enabled either! Is there anyway to reinstall the patch or do I have to uninstall everything and do it from scratch? Please help!
Fixed!! Uninstalled/Reinstalled and repatched.
Got it all sorted out. I had no mods or cc in the game when I reinstalled. So I figured I would try to uninstall and reinstall again. This time it worked! I play the sims on my laptop and the laptop is on wifi. Not sure if maybe the wifi wasn't strong when I patched and reinstalled etc earlier and missed files or what. This time it works as should. Thank you all for your help however. Hopefully this thread may help someone else also. My sims live on thanks to you all.

The game won't run either. After the main screen when I push play, the rotating plumbob screen shows and never leaves that screen. I so sad right now.

Do you get the repair game option?
-
I didn't see any such thing. Where is it located.

Hi Tony,
You log into the Origin client and right click on the Sims 4 and select Repair game. If this doesn't fix it, you may have to uninstall, run Ccleaner and it's registry cleaner and install again.
Run Ccleaner and it's registry cleaner

Ok thanks for your help!

I tried the repair option, didn't work. I uninstalled, ran the cc cleaner, moved my sims 4 folder to my desktop to start fresh. Reintalled everything, still the same issue! I didn't do anything to my computer but installed the patch the other day, and since then, I cannot play my game. Even after uninstalling and cleaning the cache and registry before reinstalling. Does anyone have any more options for me? Not sure what to do at this point. :-(

Did you try to run the game without putting back your mods folder and your old Sims 4 folder ?
If on a PC, what version of Windows do you have ?
Are you running a 64 bit version ?
How much RAM do you have ?
-
Going off of what Ferretmania asks, I have been reading that others are having problems with the game after this new patch. It's been suggested to use the 32-bit version of the game to see if that helps. Link below on how to configure either 64-bit or 32-bit.
This is assuming that you've checked to make sure your mods/custom content are up to date with the latest patch or have moved your mods folder to desktop and are still having problems with the game.

That is great news Tonycdh. Glad you got it sorted and thanks for reporting back that you got it fixed :)
-
Yeah, I think I'd seen it posted before that a wifi connection can sometimes mess up a patch if it's not a really good connection. Glad you got it fixed! :)

Thanks for marking it "fixed". Why isn't it "fixxed" though. I need a grammar teacher.
