I have been playing fine since the release date. Tonight I try to play my game and its greyed out in Origin! I tried restarting the pc. I think it downloaded an update when I first logged onto Origin. Anyone else having an issue? Any fix? I need to get back to my sims, they won't know what to do without me!
Solution tips can be found in link below.

Mouse over it. What does the play button say?
-
It doesnt show anything when I mouse over it.
-
I included a picture in a zip file as I am not sure how to post a picture.
-
I had this happen last night. Closing everything out, completely shutting down the computer and starting again seemed to fix it.
-
I tried restarting, didn't help. I am in a chat with origin now, but it looks like I am going to have to reinstall. I hope I don't lose anything.

This Worked!! Yay!

Hello Tony, thank you for waiting. The first thing I need you to do is to clear Origin cache. Clearing cache can be done for many reasons, but the main cause is due to download and install issues where a the game has downloaded partially and then become corrupted. There could also be permissions issues with the folders, preventing data being written into them.

Follow these steps on how:
1. Ensure Origin is fully closed by clicking the Origin Menu and selecting Exit.
2. Delete the following folders:
• Origin folder - Found in C:\ProgramData\
• Origin folder - Found in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\
• Origin folder - Found in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\
• Note: These folders are hidden by default, and you will need to un-hide them to be able to locate them.

Interesting.
Thank you for posting how you fixed it. :) Hopefully it will be of use for anyone else who has this problem!

This would be great except I can't seem to find any of these folders. I am having the exact same problem as the OP. Help!

In your explorer window, click on view then click on the ox next to hidden items. All those folders are hidden.

I had this happen the other night, but had a much easier fix. I opened my Task manager for Windows, and there was ts4.exe still running oddly enough. I hadn't been playing in hours as I was out and it was not minimized down below.
Glad this worked for you, just thought I'd throw this other solution out there for others... and doh, forgot there isn't a MAC version so obviously this only works for windows *facepalm* I'm going to bed lol.
