I figured it was some kind of sea sludge or something - I thought I'd find out when he put it in his inventory, but he threw it back. So I don't know what it's called. But he finally did catch an actual fish - a Tetra.

Jace got all the wishes to flirt, kiss, propose, everything. Zara was a willing participant, but it's just funny that all her wishes were to chat with him or be funny with him, and his wishes were all romantic.

Do not try planting a cow plant seed in one of the planter boxes, it disappears due to the size needed for the plant. Next I planted it in a semi-open space on the ground after seeing my first seed vanish, not realizing the size of the space needed, and it popped over to a spot on the ground that had enough open space. I looked around everywhere after that happened with the second seed, but still could not find the first one from the planter anywhere on my lot.

The Sims 4's version of Nancy Landgraab, out for a jog. Interestingly, she and Geoffrey are in opposing careers in this game. He is a secret agent and she is a criminal, and their bio says something about keeping secrets from each other. When I checked their household, Nancy also had a romantic interest with another guy, but I'm not sure if that's default or not, as I looked at them a couple of game days in.

Twins Saffron and Linden decided to work on their mental skills. Dad comes in with some food and sits down and starts eating and talking to the twins. This ups everyone's social skills! Leaf, the eldest child, comes in and starts doing his homework, also conversing with dad and his siblings, simultaneously finishing his homework and uping social! Not to be left out, mom also comes in the room, seats herself on the bed and ups her social with hubby and all three kids at once!

Ok, well, now I know what the grim looks like. Grim decided to hangout and visit with the locals and I kept trying to go home and it said, cannot travel while there is a death. Thought is was kind of strange, until another elder passed, Now I know why Grim was hanging out.

Also, this was a total surprise. Did anyone else have twins in their game? My sim married Liberty Lee and when they decided to have a baby, imagine my surprise when the popup saying the first was a girl and to name her was immediately followed by a second popup saying it's a boy and to name him.

This is how huge her belly was at the end. I don't know if that's a standard size or if it's slightly bigger due to twins, as this was the first pregnancy I played all the way through. (The ones I posted in the townie thread were just quick "try for baby" interactions followed by immediately leaving the household to go back to the main one.)

I'm curious if it was just random chance to have the twins, or I did something to boost it. Liberty is a nerd brain sim, so she spent a lot of time focused as her primary mood. She played a lot of chess and listened to alternative music. Although I think she might've read a children's book or two during pregnancy, now that I think about it, because her aspiration had a goal of reading a certain number of books, and those were already in the bookcase. I wonder if that upped the chances?

My sim is a chef, so lots of cooking, no reading of any baby books, no alternative music as we didn't have a radio then, no nerdy sim, ummmm.. in fact ours are complete opposites? :)

Here you can see one of the "confident" paintings on the easel as well as a surreal heart tree painting and a pop art cat on the walls.
Eventually I found her a nice townie named Seth (who is really not very nice at all, but seems to like Saffron) and moved him in four seconds before he turned elder.
He's too old to bother with athlete life wishes because he constantly gets exhausted, so I switched him to wanting a successful family lineage and expanded the house to include a kid's room while Saffron made bank on her art. Seth was a stay at home dad who gardened, repaired/upgraded, and cleaned.

The first picture is in the first game week of the legacy. Having a painter is a great way to get some walls up. That's the founder's husband, Harvey, at work on Mrs. Guthrie's easel. She married an elder. Somehow they managed get a golden first date, hence the champagne bucket, but their romantic bar took a huge hit. Turns out Harvey is non-committal. Still, I got their friendship high, and then used the flirty ice bucket emotion to paint some flirty pictures, and under the influence of that Miss Guthrie soon overcame his issues. Because Harvey was old (and older than I hoped) I didn't bother getting him a career. The not-yet-enclosed room is what becomes the dining room. He filled the hours doing the gardening or plumbing that needed attention, and then painted when he could:

Next is Harvey's first attempt at dying. The room now has four (double-volume) walls! Huzzah. That's Mrs Guthrie on the left, who pleaded with Grimmy and spared Harvey. She's nice like that. Besides, his dying was happening a bit too soon. They had one child, a boy, Saul (again, the first random name), and getting him through his whiz kid aspiration as a single mom was something to be avoided if possible. Because then all the gardening, plumbing, cooking has to be done by her as well as taking time to read to Saul and filling her own aspirations and job requirements. So pleading for Harvey to stick around a bit longer was a Good Move.

Next is Harvey's third, and successful attempt at dying. (Second time, he was outside. I think he might have just paid the bills. On that occasion, Saul was around to plead for him.) Saul, who is here playing chess with a friend, had nearly done with his being-read-to-by-an-adult, and had some time with papa (you must pronounce this as Miss Bennet would in Pride & Prejudice) in the park. Anyway, Harvey dies. You'll see we now have three (!) rooms. I cut a little bit of the kitchen off for a bathroom when Saul arrived - embarrassment emotions and such. The bed, rather thrillingly, was upgraded too as you see. There are some tulips growing in the bottom left corner, and some monkey bars for Saul were put next to them for a bit. Tulips give the engergized mood.

That is the same room now. At some point in the remodeling the Mona Lisa was moved, and Girl With a Pearl Earring is now in that spot just in case someone (of the two people who read this) gets their bearings confused by that. I wish there were more of a choice of curtains for those massive windows. Saul is a teenager. The mood of this picture is what makes it. The lighting in Sims 4 is so much better than 3. But who is the quiet individual with her back to the camera? Ah. Well. Maybe I could document the journey of the Guthries (and friend), and maybe I'll start a thread to do that just because I've got way more screenshots. Of the inspiration room. Of the drawing room. And so on.

Heart Foam, I love seeing your progress on a legacy house! I might be about ready to start putting up walls, but I want to do it four at a time. I always start with roof homes (my sims have their belongings under a roof to give the illusion of walls for screenshot purposes), and I want to be able to do more. Seeing how somebody actually accomplishes it makes me happy!
Thanks for the encouragement. :) Some of the early shots I have are even more... rustic. I was worried I'd have nowhere to shower, but Miss Guthrie got a day 1 promotion. I'm no great builder. The basic structure you might recognize from a Sims 3 University dorm. I treated dorms basically like a private mansion, and then decided to memorize the plan and build it as a house. There are numerous changes. So I was building wall by wall because I was measuring stuff out. I see a lot of people using diagonal rooms, but that seems to me to be a less efficient use of space. But maybe that's not an issue on a 50x50 lot. And I like the elegance and symmetry. This is maybe only a day or two before the current state:

I started with the kitchen and dining room, and gradually built to the left. Once downstairs was done, I built upstairs. It became necessary to have separate bedrooms, so having that built (and, shame, one sim has to make do with the crummiest bed for a night) took precedence over nicely feathering what already existed. The dining room was okay here, but it needed slightly warmer colours once I put in a proper table. The white marble is lovely, but not cozy. The walls and carpet in the lounge have changed, and the artistic stuff now lives in the Inspiration Room directly above. (And the bedrooms are now upstairs.) In TS4 it seems to make sense to have rooms dedicated to particular moods. At one point I envisioned having the grand piano downstairs somewhere (not a problem a university dorm ever had to worry about), but it's better to use the inspired bonuses the artist rewards give. I'm not sure about how others do it, but I built everything first before putting in carpets or floors, or painting the walls. I've only just put windows in the kitchen. :p The thing with dynasties and legacies is prioritizing. You can't have everything at the start, and there's a lot of making do. So the treadmill is outside next to the tulips because I don't have anything else to give the engergized bonus.
This is the current exterior. The exterior trims and friezes are now so much easier to add. And with such a square shape, breaking up that slab of wall really helps. The front garden needs a tree or two. And there's Harvey's grave that I haven't done anything with. It looked like this on the outside while much of the interior was barren.

Despite the background story that Maxis set up for the Pancakes, I think they should stick together (I just love how lively neighborhood in the Sims 4). Eliza and Bob already have two children and they’re waiting for the third (hopefully that would be boy) :)

These are Bob Pancakes and Eliza Pancakes children. At last, they have one boy in their family. The boy name is Quintin and the girl is Alysha. Others children names are Cecelia and Daisy but they’re still babies and I’m not the one who assigns the names (Although they’re happily married, Bob and Eliza live in different household) :)

One of Bob's traits is Gloomy. So, he always sad most of his time, even they (Maxis) are not showing it (the animation, mostly I only hear sounds) but Cry it Out interaction is quite hilarious. I'm surprised how many little things in interactions that they add into this game. That makes this game really fit to add richer elements for a story.

I already use it and I love it! I would love to stretch it, but it makes the picture lost it charms. Thank you for the tip! I found it harder for me to catch a beautiful scenery like yours, seems that I need to practice more.

Bob Pancakes happily announce that he will have another child in their Pancakes family. That makes his children six (currently: one boy and four girls). So, that's quite a feat as Eliza herself is the one who raise her children (Bob seeing his children sometimes and they’re friends even they’re live in a separate home). I just love the close up screenshot of Bob and Eliza, the only thing my Sim can do to congratulate them (for Bob craziness to often have wishes for try for baby) is just give them a thumb up.

Just press Tab and head anywhere off in the distance. You'll be surprised what you find. There's even an airport in one of the areas (planes actually land their!)

Man, there are lots to explore. There's indeed a beauty in simplicity @ The Sims 4. Everyone who complaints don’t know about the complexity that looks like simple. That’s why I love TS4 even more!

The east wing is unfurnished. If possible, an indoor pool will go on the ground floor there. I'm scared they wont be able to be placed on foundations.

I m pretty happy for what we can get using a few cc, it s getting away from the cartoon style which i don't enjoy that much myself.
besides this i will try to show some specific new features of TS4 for the ones who didn't yet play it!

So you can see that even if i am not an expert builder we can already get some amazing interiors a few months later from the release of the game.
I should thank here all the community of the modders who offer their free work to us (TSR,modthesims...).
The main part of the cc i use is not here on the pics, it s the hairs which are so amazing too!

Pretty pleased with the end result. This is the 'Wicked Pumpkin". Your sim needs to have L5 handiness for this option to appear.

I noticed that although it cost $25 dollars to carve you can sell it for $157 and that it will also spoil. I imagine that as my sim gets better at carving pumpkins/or handiness they will be worth more.

These are the options so far at L5 handiness. The classic carving was only L1 handiness so you can get started straight away. You can also choose from orange, pale orange, white or green colours of pumpkin.

Carving gives Inspired +1 and viewing gave him Happy +1. These might change as this was the first pumpkin he carved.

The Star Wars costumes weren't in the pack, but came up in the costumes valid for the party. They autonomously change and you don't get to pick the costume. It amused me that Boyd changed into Darth Maul. I had him serve the cheese eyeballs, which are available at level 3 cooking.

One of the carved pumpkins is on the table, as well as the zombie cake you can make, which you need level 4 cooking for.

This is the candy bowl catching a sim off guard. They get a tense moodlet about being tricked and treated from it. Boba Fett is a party guest (J Huntington III), but the random guy on the couch is a party crasher who just showed up at the door. I have the pumpkin carving station up in the background since one of the party's main objectives is to carve two pumpkins.

If you complete the party at gold level, it unlocks these costumes. Lllama version of Batman!

After scavenging my screenshots folder, I decided to share some of the pictures from my DeReve Legacy. Most of you will recognize Scrubs DeReve from the Get To Work EP trailers and promo pictures. I downloaded him from the gallery and he's quickly become one of my favorite Maxis made sims (right behind, Chuck).

I wasn't happy with the front. Too many horizontal lines. Lowered the main section of the roof, changed the trimming, changed the windows, changed the fountain. Anywho. But rather than swap the photos, I thought to leave the first in for the sake of comparison. Does it need those flags? Of course not. They're out of place. First I had him help himself to an Expresso. No reaction but then again my friends and I all help ourselves to coffee etc at each others houses. Next I had him cook.
His friend really didn't like that and had no hesitation in telling my sim how inappropriate his behaviour was. This forced my sim to stop cooking.

I directed my sim two more times to continue cooking... after all, he was hungry. This didn't work, after the third attempt to complete this meal his friend had quite enough of his rudeness.
He yelled at him and pointed to the door. Yep, my sim was being thrown out!

I felt a bit bad at ruining their friendship as before being so 'inappropriate' they had been good friends, now they were just friends and judging from the relationship panel..only just.

Nancy Landgraab called to hang out, when Johnny was over. After She, Dusty, and Johnny had had a meal, and after talking a bit, Dusty & her headed to the basement to dance. I guess, it was because it was the only radio that was playing danceable music at the time. Anyway, I was unprepared for this, and the basement was unfinished. Nancy was conversing, but she was also huffing and puffing. Knowing she was a snob, I immediately redecorated the room for her. You can still see remnants of the bomb shelteresque decor, in the lighting. I also threw up some masterpiece paintings, to keep her happy. It's a workout room. I hadn't expected to be entertaining guests down there.

I got this crazy machine, without knowing what it was. Instead of being a large, interactive game, that multiple Sims can participate in, it becomes an addictive attraction, that normally outgoing Sims will be drawn to. They will spend hours on it, then leave, when they are done.

This screenshot is from my current game with Don Lothario. He and Clara Bjergsen have two twin sons and are expecting once again. She divorced Bjorn, but he still lives there as well as their two daughters. Don stays over often, but lives alone otherwise. In this particular picture, he failed to give poor Clara a decent massage; she is highly uncomfortable due to nausea and what not. Knowing what guys sometimes have to put up with, I feel Don would entitle this screenshot 'The day I couldn't do anything right'. ;D 8)

Patching up the existing house was an option, but given the floorplan it was hard to put in a pool or basement, and the rocket was standing just... there... on the grass... without being planned for. So a new house was needed. It's really interesting to go back to an early save and see the mistakes and general lack of optimization and fix that. No pollinator. That's a mistake.
So it's a glorified L-shape.

Because it long ago stopped being a proper legacy, and now there's much fun trying to preserve the remaining bloodlines. That's why the pollinator. It's sad when there are no more Goths or Munches. :) Also, when the second gen spouse got to elder, I thought, "but I'm not having this, she's too awesome" and reset her to YA. So it's not longer a legacy or anything official.
The colours of everything have changed so many times. Then I think, "Yeah, nice", and take a bunch of screenshots. Then I think a window isn't quite right, the railing shouldn't be such a pale colour, the roof trim must be more dominant, etc. Then I take more screenshots, and so it goes. The interior has its charms. Obviously the dining room (with two fireplaces, because reasons) is beyond all other dining rooms I've made, and nothing else is quite as spectacular. I think you'd be expecting something equally wow, and find it to be rather normal. A thread for this would be too much! But the attics do have kids bedrooms. (Twin girls at the mo - Raquel and Kimberly.) The kitchen is okay, but needs work. Something isn't quite right with it. Part of the problem is the maximum-height walls on the ground floor. They make an average size room look too tall and narrow.
Well, here's the lounge. The kids' drawing table shouldn't really be there, but there isn't room in the makeshift studio, and in time there'll be some +inspiration from mixology career rewards and the piano.

No, there's no grander living room somewhere else. It is quite formal, true. But far short of a gold-trimmed, wood paneled, mirrors-and-paintings, bonnets and ruffles Jane Austen drawing room. It's the cheap fireplace too (!), re-used from the original house where it was in a bedroom. So it might morph into something grander. The basement (DJ booth, karaoke) that leads to the rocket launch pad has a white+purple color scheme which I like. If I redo the lounge into a formal living room, I'll post a pic. :)

Oh no, I didn't at mean to suggest that the lounge wasn't fabulous enough. I got confused because you called it a lounge rather than a living room, thinking it implied the presence of a living room as well. Your lounge is already far, far grander than anything my sims have ever experienced, lol. I confess that I can't even do curtains well.
Anyway, I always enjoy seeing your builds. You always do such amazing exteriors, too. I'm jealous! :D

It always seems like I have to get a bit creative with camera angles in order to cut out inappropriate NPC photobombs too. Which kinda sucks, especially when I want a large panoramic-like shot occasionally.

I then decided I quite liked the idea of having a private beach side fire pit so I spent the rest of that sim day directing my sim to 'place in world' and then 'place in inventory' rinse and repeat until finally everything was placed perfectly.

I wish you could drag things out of your sims inventory in the areas that can not be edited instead of having direct your sims to randomly place them... but I got there eventually, both chairs are linked to the fire pit and so it all functions as it should. I will kill any sim that sets the chairs on fire though as I don't know if I have the patience to repeat this!

I notice your Newcrest house is in east Newcrest, which is the only zone without fishing. Did you choose that lot (Optimist Outlook, maybe?) because of the surrounding trees?

Oh I don't. There's no "without". They're all dedicated alcoholics. Pretty sure of that. There's another bar in the drawing room, and also the it's-not-a-globe-it's-my-whiskey thing in the dining room. And they drink a lot. But that bar counter also faces the huge indoor cinema. It's about the aesthetic, it's about filling out the space. I think I was trying to make the indoors feel slightly outdoorsy. Hence the choice of walls and floors and wicker furniture.

That's a current screenshot. The gentleman (Antwan) mixing the drink is the grandson of Vlad, and the green bear. His +1 is the red head (Anissa). Recently moved in, recently pregnant. His cousin (Alyssa), not in picture is also pregnant. Ayaka Suzuki is unrelated. She's the designated hot girl because having a house full of genetically impossible sims was frustrating. I have way too many "A" names. Antwan's late mother was Allie, and there also Allie Grim Reaper. So I ended up not choosing her for Antwan, and went with the red hair and blue eyes because that adds some variety to the family.
I hadn't had a house in that neighborhood before. It's just wanting a change. And I liked the orientation of the lot because there's a bit of garden front and back. The trees really do make a difference. The library, dining room, and drawing room are facing that way, so the house is definitely geared toward that view.

Looks like a great drawing room there, with movie TV (great idea with the side drapes), bar, and super karaoke system.

Grim gives his thoughts on marriage... at a wedding... where the bride died while trying to calm her hysteria (triggered by a playful moodlet from clean clothes)... to the child of the dead woman. Man, that's cold.
No harm done in the end, luckily one of the household could plead for her. This popped the "'Til death do us part" achievement: Have a Sim die at their own wedding. Not managed that one before. Curse you, clean clothes. It's become stuipdly easy for this to happen.

This is on the Arid Ridge lot. An old save from November 2014 that I loaded. The joy of fixing a clumsy first attempt. That's my second ever sim child at the Winterfest tree. Rather unfortunately, her mother is Nancy Landgraab. Just redid that dining / living area and it looks nice, thought I'd share. I like the colours and the light.
Originally, that room had light blue carpeting. And blue curtains that were too short. The house plan is a shocking mess. It's the nostalgia though.

So, I decided to start yet another legacy (I know. lol). But instead of creating my usual sim hunk, this time I decided to use one of my favorite Maxis created sims that I've downloaded from the Gallery, Josh Charmer. So, I aged him to a young adult and moved him into an empty lot in Oasis Springs. Currently, he's a level 2 painter and dating a neighbor, Jameson aka J Huntington III.
At first, things started off a bit rocky because Jameson was known for being a bit of a player around time, but meeting Josh has caused him to change his ways. (In reality, I just removed the non-committal trait and replaced it with the romantic trait instead.). They've gone on three successful dates and are currently engaged.

Maxis made Sims are undervalued if you ask me. I never cared much for the model type that so many seem blinded by.

So my clingy toddler twins just showed how unclingy they are when it comes to eating food. They pulled the food off the table in the dining room and went into their bedroom and got up on their beds to eat. Their parents are still in the dining room. Not too much clinginess going on there :P

I've only been into the Sims for maybe a month, and after realizing what I could do with the building capabilities, I played with the idea of "what's hiding in the basement"
Well... This project led me a bit astray but I'm loving it. It's a full on multi level deep clandestine lab
So far I have Sublevel 1 which houses the genetics/cloning lab (that little cloning pad from Strangerville was not enough for me) there is another lab space I my dedicate to android research... Not sure yet.
Sublevel 2 is my pride and joy... A thermonuclear reactor with decontamination corridor, quarantine, waste holding and the computer core and control room. (I also added service/maintenance access way)
S3 is the newest... a living space for staff who stay onsite for extended periods and a hospital facility
Its getting there, and I'm learning a lot in the process of this build. I was try to see if any pack had fog emitters or anything I could add as far of special effect. So far no real luck but heres to hoping!

In my latest game, I realized that if I placed "me" and evicted him again, the game would place him randomly. He moved into quite a nice place, much more expensive than what he could have had with the default starting funds.

And once again, MCCC hooked "me" up with Katrina. Apparently she just witnessed a friend dying. Oh, wait, I did that... Brittani Cho was in a bar Inciting Cheers. I HATE when celebrities do that. So she suddenly got attacked by Selvadoradan Lightning Bugs. A few minutes later she did it again. And got attacked again. Getting attacked twice is lethal.
Anyway, Katrina looks unhappy because she's sad about that. In the middle is "our" daughter Cheyanne. Yes, I know how to spell Cheyenne, but apparently Maxis doesn't. Looks like she favors Katrina.

I'm not entirely sure of some design choices, like precisely where the money trees should be, but on the whole I'm pleased with the fountain part.

I was looking through screenshots wondering if I should take the time to add more pics of this house, and remembered this thrilling moment. A stormy night, an equally stormy Agnes... and a cloning machine. I had to test. We can't clone special sims like Guidry or Temperance (I've tried, their special trait prevents it).
So the main project is, or was, building Cordelia's Cottage into something fit for her when she moves in. I was doing the GTW science career anyway because some quality-of-life items are from the GTW science career, like the illness-curing shower, and when there's a full house it's more of a pain to do the active careers. It's still such a good first move. Clone age-away serums. Clone potions of immortality that you bought on Plopsy. Clone slimify serums to help a townie out. Clone money plant seeds. It wasn't out of my sim's way to test this.
Yes, you can clone Agnes. I got Martha Crumplebottom, which is a remarkably on-brand name. I aged Martha down, moved her in with Vlad, and lo! a Crumplebottom family without messing with the assigned roles of Agatha or Agnes.

The mad scientist was asked to clone herself as a work task, last day on the job (unless she goes back on Monday for the alien party on Sixam), so there's a few clones about. Agnes has some bad traits to begin with, so the fact Martha has bad traits too wasn't a good indication of anything. But the other clone, of the scientist, is exactly the same. It copies special traits like Immortal as well as purchased traits. It copies celebrity status. And likes and dislikes. It didn't copy across the aspiration bonus, like Quick Learner. The clone gets a random aspiration, but none of those associated traits. I'm assuming that a trip to CAS fixes that.
It's possible I've seen Multiplicity, with it leaving no lasting memory, but I don't think so. In this family Andie MacDowell varies from being a heartthrob to gratingly, nail-scrapingly unbearable. In honour of the Crumplebottom sisters I should probably watch it.
My big prediction for Sam is that he'll be pointy. Just a feeling.

Initially, I was surprised Agnes didn't have the Unflirty trait then realized later she became anti-PDA due to being widowed on her honeymoon (is that the lore?).
Haha, yes, Agnes + Vlad will undoubtedly result in angularity. Their facial shape is quite similar, haha.

Earlier today, I watched videos by Plumbella & DrGluon about Princess Cordelia lore as narrated by Build/Buy objects and they showed us that household.
Apparently, the household was made available around the time of Discover University, but I only saw it today.
On another note, your mansion's exterior looks so majestic! I like how the interior looks lavish without feeling cluttered.

No. Agnes' clone went off with the green shimmer effect, meaning her traits copied true. When you get a red shimmer effect, something went wrong in the cloning process and they will randomly get Evil or Erratic, or there might possibly be other traits that could be thrown in there too. And especially if they're given Evil, they'll get scary eyes.

I have that family of Cordelia and her pirate boyfriends! I've had it for ages. That's where this idea comes from. But given some object descriptions I feel she can't get back with any of her previous pirates. I think one died. And they won't have the traits of Frederic de Penzance -- Strong Magical Bloodline / Sulani Mana / Father Winter's Baby. I like the look of the Matilda the Chef and Bob the Butler, maybe they'll move in too. Maybe. Probably don't need them. Probably don't have enough bedrooms. But Cordelia is the main event. (I feel like her story is the biggest tease in Sims 4. We've gone from just object descriptions, to an official sim on the gallery, to an actual lot with her name... but we're still a step away from the kingdom itself. They have to do it at some point right?) And as soon as I saw the Cordelia's Secret Cottage lot I figured this was the time to use that sim I've had sitting around for so long. If I have to have an excuse for how Cordelia is still around after 150 years, I might go with a beetle juice drink.
@nomo It's three floor tiles. The main white slab and the chequered tile is base game, and I think the grey accents are Get Famous (but the base game grey looks roughly the same). I often do patterned marble floors in a big space. [CTRL]+[F] is a toggle between quarter tiles and full tiles. This particular pattern is as straightforward as it gets, and I've done many times, and looks good. It breaks up the space. It's not too busy.

Yeah, you haven't seen it happen? I seem to get "fail" results more often than successful ones, when I clone sims. Unfortunately I don't think I have screenshots of it.
But something I DO have screenshots of, is the Faba twins, and this is a screenshot page, after all. Paige, in purple, is a descendant of L. Faba. Quinn is her clone, I think she did start out as a "fail" but I fixed her in CAS and changed her color choices.

From the start I wanted Cordelia's cottage to have a lot of the Princess Cordelia themed furniture. And that set's the tone. I obviously thought of using some of the Cottage Living walls and roofs, but Discover University wins me over every time. It's strayed somewhat from the style and tone of the starter home that exists by default. But for snobs used to Blenheim Palace, this house is still little. I can easily imagine Cordelia saying she "stayed for a few weeks at my cottage in the country" referring to something with marble floors.
If I didn't have a princess in mind, that small 20x15 house on the Cabin Fever thread actually lends itself very well to the full cottage experience.

Right now I'm playing a legacy, for the first time.
I chose the Desert Bloom lot, in Oasis Springs, for the desert theme, and the large lot. There is also a lot of plants and dig piles around the neighbourhood, and no other lots, which I wanted. It's loosely situated in neolithic times. The lot is off the grid, with earth quakes, lava bombs, vild dogs and other dangerous creatures; and they live a simple life in the middle of the desert where rarely anyone ventures.

This is Anaya. She is a very productive member of the tribe. She came as a teenager, thirsty and alone wandering the desert after an earth quake had taken her relatives. She moved in with my original mother, Ororo, and her two toddlers, and when their mother died of a poisonous spider bite she took care of them. Having raised her skill in handiness she was able to break open the Forgotten Grotto in the neighbourhood, and craft furniture for the tribe.

When the twins were children, a lone adult joined the small tribe, helping out with fishing and gathering. Yara had some foreign plants with her, and took care of them, and the bees. She was mindful and spent time in the little hut built for reflexion. The tribe's religion is a celebration of life and harsh nature, and stillness like the hot sun over the desert dust. Here she rests, with Ororo; she had a long, fulfilling life.

The twins, Ororo's daughters, are grown up, and both mothers. Ull befriended an elemental being, basic needs for procreation; her line is turning in the direction of grasping nature by it's lava balls - I mean, bombs. Ayla also has a son. When the cousins are grown up, they will go walkabout like their mothers, to the areas north of the dry desert where they live, to find new mothers for the tribe.

Yaras son is soon of age, and will bring in a new woman from the islands, to the tribe, to maintain the line - and then leave for the northeast, to settle down. Men only stay with their mothers until they are old enough to attract another childbearing woman, exchanging their place with them. Here is Ujuju, the almost grown child of Anaya, and the next in line to mother a child. She is out gathering to sustain the tribe's living and slow growth.

While I was playing the girl, the boy invited her on a date and she said OK.
My question is about this (autonomous) move the boy makes. Do you know which Romantic interaction it is?
I compared it with Passionate Kiss, but it's not the same. Please let me know if you recognize it.
Not knowing what the move is has been bugging me, lol. (Note: I'm not using any pose mods.)

I got confused because I've mostly seen the Suave Kiss where the initiating sim kisses the other sim's hand with a bow.
After seeing your message, I had my sim do several Suave Kisses (lol) and got both the hold-hand-and-lean suave kiss and the kiss-hand-and-bow suave kiss.

This is another house I've plucked from the gallery and smoothed out the rough edges, the overuse of moveobjects and t.o.o.l. (and the overwhelming, dazzling floor) over time -- not here, in Mt Komorebi. The most beautiful setting.
I just plopped it down here to see how it looks. The Frosts at Frost Park -- aliens with human skin, father winter's babies (obviously), Sulani mana -- were a test for Ros and Phoebe, for those familiar with those supersims. The original on the gallery is Dyrham Castle on the gallery. It has very good bones. It's a lot less effort to edit than to build from scratch sometimes.
