Title: Map tag issue
Post by: hitch82 on February 01, 2013, 05:45:53 PM
I have had a strange problem since the installation of Seasons. It seems to affect only my baby boomer challenge file as I have a completion challenge and completed the handyman challenge without any issues with the map tags. I have not made any new files other than handyman so I don't know if it is a constant problem now or not. I am going to go ahead and make a new game file and see if it has the same issues. Note: my completion challenge was started before I installed Seasons and the handyman challenge wasn't a very long game, don't know if that could affect it.

Issue: Load up game, go to town view and there are no map tags
Fixes I know about: Go to edit town click on lot, do not move lot elsewhere just click again and then accept and return to game while saving.

Problem: Can't go to edit town while in the challenge game files. So I need a fix that will work while operating within the challenge rules.

What I have tried and does not work: deleting cache, restarting, edit town and then return to game (not touching anything in edit town just going there and back), and going back to main menu.

I have a picture of the issue but need to look up the rules on how to upload pics to the forum before I do so.

Computer specs: Windows 8
AMD FX 4100 quad core processor 3.6 GHZ
8 GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 7700 series graphics

Have you tried the toggle maptags option available under the console panel? and does changing the map tag filters do anything?

Yes, the little dots option that is available? I have tried any and all settings under that and it didn't change at all. I really need to get some pictures taken and put up. I will work on that here in  a bit. The collection helper is also down. So not just the map tags but the collection helper that toggles its own map tags.
