I wanted to warn everyone to not have Bonehilda and a maid, the maid will quit. A maid I hired to see if she would quit, said ''You'll never turn me into the walking dead''. The funny thing is the maid is a werewolf, I do love The Walking Dead reference though. In the first Sims game the human maid would quit also. I haven't checked the butler yet, but I doubt they'll quit.
Edit: If you do have both on the lot, make sure Bonehilda is in her closet.
-
I was wondering on that one too... Gave me a good laugh :D
-
One of my sims had a wish to get Bonehilda, hilarious ;D She continuously gets cereal, jam and bread etc out of the fridge and leaves them on the table, apparently feeling the family is incapable of opening the fridge themselves ;), then if they don't get eaten within 30 seconds or so, puts them back in the fridge ::)
-
I had a sims who is terrified of Bonehilda. It's funny, she just can't stand her as a maid.
-
I had the same thing. The sim just started running in the opposite direction every time she saw her.
-
best part so far tho: sims do not react when she enters a bathroom ie gets that embarrassing moodlet
-
Do you mean that they don't get the embarrassed moodlet when she walks in on them? Because my sims do get the moodlet when she walks in on them. Maybe it depends on what traits the sim has?
-
I only played with Bonehilda once... she was too inefficient (I like cleaning to be quick), but that could be because the lot I was in somehow had roaches that wouldn't die.
-
I also have problems with Bonehilda not working efficiently. I let her out of her box a couple of times and after she does a couple of chores, she then proceeds to annoy my pets. She constantly tries to pet my cat, which resets his action queue (he hisses at her every time she tries ;D), as long as my cat is awake and on lot. If my small dog is awake and on lot, then she'll try to teach him a new trick (rather funny to watch, but she'll just keep on teaching him new tricks at the expense of not letting him do anything else). So I ended up leaving her in her box (which looks cool anyway for a $4000 decoration...) and hired a butler (who also has annoying problems with the Supernatural EP, but that discussion is for another thread).
So does anyone else have Bonehilda constantly interacting with their pets instead of working?

So does anyone else have Bonehilda constantly interacting with their pets instead of working?
I wish Bonehilda would interact with my pets! I find their social needs annoying sometimes...she DOES interact constantly with the nooboos, waking them up from a dead sleep; I had to dismiss her because the toddlers were always too tired to learn their toddler skills. I heard someone else mention this on the forum as well.
I think Bonehilda is like other service Sims in that she has a few traits that spawn randomly when you buy her. For example, the first time I had her she was constantly doing this boxing mannerism that I think is associated with athletic. Due to certain things, I had to 'rebuy' her - and she doesn't do it anymore, like she's a different Sim. Maybe your Bonehilda has animal lover or something. I'd try to rebuy her and see if she behaves any differently...
I heard someone say that their Bonehilda went to a nightclub and didn't come back for three days. My Bonehilda did autonomously go to the park at one point. It's important to note that she can glitch and just stay still, but when this happened to me I was able to dismiss and reawaken her to fix it. So if she's not being useful, she might have glitched out on you.
-

She wouldn't leave the dog alone until she taught him all the tricks. After he learned all the tricks she's always trying to pet him but every time she tries he bites her. But he probably looks at her thinks. Yummy, bones. :)
-
My Bonehilda acts like a burglar alarm. As soon as the burglar music came on she went outside and fought him. He didn't have a chance to get in the house.
-
The pattern for my Bonehilda seems to be to clean satisfactorily at first, then she moves on to food/drink prep, then she won't leave my dog alone, endlessly teaching him tricks. The pattern I'm seeing here is that you are expected to put her away when the work is done - you can't just leave her out 24/7 and the longer you do, the more of an annoyance she becomes.
Unlike others here, she doesn't endlessly prepare food for my family, but bar drinks. I had a hilarious realization the other day that my favorite Sim has developed a drinking problem over the past few (human) months. He never went near the bar in the beginning, then one day he tried it. For the next week he'd prepare drinks once in a while. Then it became all the time... Now I can barely keep him away from the darn bar when I leave him on his own! Enter Bonehilda, who obviously realizes that the master of the house has no use for autumn salads. ;D

Roaches in Sims 3?
-
Yes we have roaches in the game Pam. They are part of the bugs, I was weirded out the first time my sim caught one.
-
As sdhoey said, there are indeed roaches as a collectible insect (although why anyone would want to collect roaches is beyond me). But I've never seen those swarms of roaches that used to appear in the earlier Sims games. And I don't think I've ever seen them on a residential lot either.
-
Some of the starter homes will have a challenge attached too them when you first start the game and one of those is a bug infestation and they will have roaches crawling around on the lot. Maybe orawnge is on one of those lots.
-
I forget if it was Twinbrook in the swamps or Riverview near the Broke household, but I remember collecting some roaches and the house was not infested (meaning I didn't get a challenge for it before moving in or anything). I was all excited to see bugs on my land and so was my sim - I was rather disappointed to see that they were roaches and they weren't worth anything (my simself didn't seem to mind though...weirdo).
But anyway, yes, Bonehilda - sadly I haven't been able to fully play yet as I forgot to lower my graphics after reinstalling all EPs through Generations, and then installing Supernatural & Pets so my game crashed to desktop right after making a witch in CAS (luckily I had saved her shortly before it happened). Assuming I don't have to upgrade my RAM too (crossing fingers), one of the first purchases I plan to make is Bonehilda so that my werewolf won't need the neat trait and can focus on cooking and gardening for his evil witch mistress, hehe.
-
Unfortunately I found Bonehilda unusable. My cats are awake when my Sims sleep, but since I would invariably forget to put Bonehilda away I had no other means to do so other than waking my Sim. Bonehilda however would constantly try to pet the cats - and would follow them everywhere in order to do that, constantly interrupting them and rendering it impossible for my pets to do anything. Shame, really, I found her useful otherwise.
-
Roaches in Sims 3?
I shouldve explained that better. I moved into a lot in twinbrook that got the insect challenge. The guy who comes to take the bugs didn't get the roaches for some reason. When I used bonehilda, she spent all of her time trying to kill them and failing, hence her ineffeciency.
-
Ach! The one thing I hired her for was to help with my pet's social needs, that's the one thing she won't do.
-
My sim with the supernatural skeptic trait, runs away screaming when she see Bonehilda. It is funny and annoying lol.
-

I have noticed in Moonlight Falls that there is more roaches than any other insect and also that every lot that I live in, both empty or pre-exsisting house has insects and gem spawners which in buydebug come under alchemy spawners.
-
Is Bonehilda a supernatural, or a normal sim in a locked outfit/skin, or an object similar to Ms. Crumplebottom in the Sims 2
-
She is an item that acts as a maid and can't be added to households or player controlled.
-
When I had a toddler in the family she spent quite a lot of time tending to him, she also repaired some things but now when there are no toddlers I haven't seen her do any housework in ages, all she does all day is either playing hopscotch or working in the DJ-booth.
I don't mind though, I find it rather amusing.
-
So far Bonehilda is working well for my sim. My sim's familiar doesn't like her though. She tries to pet the cat and the cat hisses at her, so she goes back to her coffin.
-
I have a Sim that has the Mixology Lifetime wish and she makes tons of drinks.
Bonehilda comes running out and drinks everything in sight. I made a bunch of skill boosting drinks for the 4 household members and Bonehilda chugged them all down before anyone, including the mixologist could get to it. I have to make sure they are all right in the room as they are made or that Bonehilda is dismissed.
I have noticed that if she is out for an extended period of time, she eventually disappears. I try to dismiss, but it doesn't do anything and she doesn't reappear. I had to buy another one.
-
I looooove Bonehilda! She constantly cares for my nooboos and toddlers - it's like having the baby swing but way cooler. She picks up around the house and if there is nothing to do she stares in the mirrors a lot. I don't have any pets yet, so it will be interesting to see how she behaves around them.
-
My Bonehilda, named Alecia, cleans and repairs very quickly. I did have to get rid of the pets because she stalked them. Despite monopolizing them their social was tanked so she was a problem there. She has helped with the triplets while they were infants but I dismiss her periodically because she keeps trying to put the toddlers back in the baby beds. Since they are fairies they use the house instead.
-
Like Lisey, I also think that each Bonehilda is individual. Mine is constantly going into one of the bathrooms to "check herself out". Which is frustrating, as it means half the time one bathroom is occupied :(
-
Can you marry her and have children with her?
-
Can you marry her and have children with her?
No she can't be added. She's only there to serve the household.
-
I love having Bonehilda out and tending to the toddler. I laugh myself silly when the Life States heir is home. He has the cowardly trait and runs from her constantly. He threw a teen party and half his guests spent the night running from Bonehilda!
As a side note, the toddler loves her. She snuggles and plays with him. ;D
-
I used the Global reset and Bonehilda is gone!. If you want to use resetsim * make sure she is in her closet. The closet was still there so I sell it and buy a new bonehilda. I like the old one, she was athletic lol. ;D
-
I started a new game, and Bonehilda gets a GREAT "kick" out of kicking the gnomes. She'll kick one, set it back up and kick it again. She does this constantly and has an "elated" bar. Guess she likes abusing gnomes. The cat hates her (red bars when she approaches the cat); so she goes and kicks a gnome. The cat will take treats from her; but, nothing else.
-
@MoMoll, it looks like you get a mean spirited one. :P
-
My Bonehilda constantly plays hopscotch and doesn't do any work. I dismiss and awaken her but she starts playing hopscotch again. It is so annoying.
-

And doesn't do anything else? I half recognise this problem. Bonehilda in my game does nothing but checking out her beautiful face in the mirror. Don't know what else to do than to dismiss her.
-
I had a Bonehilda who was becoming a nuisance to the cats. Repeated efforts to 'dismiss' her were completely ignored by Bonehilda - she would never return to her closet! Finally, I just used the moveobjects cheat to delete her and her closet. I haven't tried a new Bonehilda yet in that game....Not sure if this is a bug or just a very annoying personality trait of the Bonehilda?

Yeah, it is a really annoying problem the only solution is deleting the object. Does anyone know if locking a door prevents this.
-

Just get rid of the hopscotch. An annoying game, like sprinklers.
-

Yeah I did get rid of it but I wanted my sims to play hopscotch!! Anyways everything has a price and Bonehilda is very helpful.
-

I tell you, hopscotch (in real life) is null for adults. My grandkids kept wanting to do it and exhausted me. I never liked the game as a child. So, your sims aren't missiing out on anything. Have them do something else (pool is cool, or arcade games). My brother taught me pool from the age of 5 and at 18, I was earning my car gas money at the bars.
-
The family has twin toddlers right now and Bonehilda have a hard time to decide which kid to hold! :)
If babies had been able to sleep in somebody's arms I'm sure the crib woouldn't get any use with Bonehilda around!
-
Lock the door to the kids room and she'll find another source of entertainment. She's only a bag of bones.
-

Thanks, I was wondering if door locking would be of any use but couldn't open the game.
-
I tried to reset my Bonehilda because she got stuck outside, but of course it didn't work. I know I could just buy a new one, but I'm afraid she'll get stuck again. Anyone else have this problem?
-
No, so far "Boney" has worked OK for me. The cat hates her and she does her job.
-
I just saw Bonehilda stealing someone's clothes! I had a Sim skinny dipping in the hot tub and she did the tip-toe sneak, snuck through the garden area behind the hot but and swiped the clothes and went up to her coffin house. I wonder how many she has in there?
-
That's hilarious!
-
That's pretty funny. I'm definitely getting a new Bonehilda now.
-
I'm a huge fan of Bonehilda XD when Supernatural (and her!) was annouced, I told my friend (since sometimes we buy the sim games together to save money) about it... I spent so much time talking about Bonehilda that she asked "honey... are you buying a game because of these skeleton?" (and then I said YES! and we both crack up XD)
My dear Bonnie is reeeeally cool! I'm gonna make a fan club XD
BTW, she may be considered as a mix of sim and object by the game, because it's possible to edit her clothes in CAS, altough she is not selectable...
Hey, let's put some Bonnie fun pics and videos XD
-

She's cleaning up and thinks clothes on the floor are "messy". Happens to my sims all the time, since one is a party animal and always skinny dips.
-
No, that's not what she is doing. She actually TIP TOES outside and snickers before she swipes the clothes. It is definitely a prank. After she has swiped someone poor skinny dippin' Sim's clothes, she hides out in her closet for a while.
Inside the house she does not pick up clothes, she ignores laundry. At least mine does.
You can see the clothes swiping screenshot interactions here, about 3/4ths down the page under Prankster.

Missed the part about "tip toes" in your notice. So she has a prankster trait. Funny.
-
I think I'm going to have to delete my Bone, at least until the kids grow up. Both of them are terrified of her and run away screaming. The cowardly one ran all the way down the street before stopping (poor thing had a really bad first day at the foster home, prank ends up backfiring, her caretakers are ghosts, the computer broke when she tried to learn logic, zombie attack, etc).
Anywho, I think I'll try it with another family, just to see their reactions.

Had someone run from a party because of her. However, the cat HATES her; but, she keeps the cat's social level high while my sim is away. Love/Hate relationship? She hasn't touched the bee hive; but, drinks all my sims drinks for the party. Found out (with mods) she is quite similar in personality to my active female sim.
-
My bonehilda also really likes the wet bar. I keep it in family inventory until they throw a party, which is pretty often. I have a large family that likes to celebrate birthdays in a big way. Grandma brought her cat over, and it's the same thing. Poor 'Hilda just wants some kitty lovin'.
-
I think Bonehilda is pouting. She hasn't come out of her box for a few days after the cat hissed at her! My sim hates cleaning!
-
My Bonehilda built a relationship with the cat! The cat no longer has negative reactions to her. It must have been sheer persistence on Bonehilda's side, because at first the cat wanted nothing to do with her.
-
I was wondering about my Bonehilda and her quirks and now I know she isn't the only one.
My sim had her first baby and Bony wouldn't let the baby alone! And I had a heck of a time dismissing her. The baby was tired and mom and dad were tired; but as soon as they put the baby in the crib, she was there picking him up. I had one of the parents go over and she would put the baby on the floor and walk off. But as soon as the parent put the baby in the crib she would come over and the parent would step out of the way and she was picking the kid up.
It took forever to get her to dismiss, she would start to go and then turn back to pick up the baby. Took all night, but finally got her back in the coffin. Put it outside and built a wall around it.
She is great in cleaning and fixing objects, and she must have been chilled under that short outfit because she went to the fireplace and bent over, wiggled her butt and went "aahhhh", turned around, warmed her hands and went back to cleaning. The baby likes her, the parents will chat with her, so she is good except she wouldn't let the baby alone. At least she did give him his bottle.
The second one has been born and is ready to age up to toddler and the toddler is going to age up to child, both on the same day. I am going to let her out and see what happens.
She is so good at cleaning and repairs that I hate to lose her. But as soon as she is finished I send her to her coffin; so that could be why she isn't being a royal pain the butt in other areas.
-
This is a story of what happened with my Bonehilda, Pam okayed it here but I am sorry if it is too long.
I took “literary license” with the story in some areas, and the ending at the diner was mine added on; I had fun with that as I have always secretly wanted to write.
Tsalgai is NA (Native American) for Cherokee and the names are NA names, Aponi is butterfly and Chayton is falcon.
*************************************************************************************************
The Maid, the Thief, the Zombie, and the Sim
Chayton Tsalagi sat by the fire reading a book glancing up us as his wife, Aponi, arrived home from gathering mushrooms and beeswax for her elixirs. As they went to eat their supper of canned soup, they heard the mournful howl of a wolf and realized there was a full moon that night. After their supper they sat by the fire relaxing in the glow of the firelight for a chat. Time passed and they decided to retire for the night. They were not concerned or worried that they were in any danger from the creatures of the night; they felt safe in their home. Doors were locked and the maid was downstairs cleaning up.
As they slept a strange music begins to play and the maid stops cleaning. She leaves the house to go outside and see what is going on. There, on the corner of the lot is a man, dressed in strange clothes; black pants and a shirt with black and white stripes. And it looks as if he is trying to mimic a raccoon with that silly mask covering his eyes. The man is looking at her in defiance as she approaches him, not the least bit scared; he should be.
The thief looks at the woman approaching him in defiance, but his defiance changes first to shock and then to horror as he gazes upon the approaching being. He had thought it was a woman; he was sure as he saw she was wearing a maid’s dress. Although it seemed to be a strange outfit; red dress with a black apron and that funny hat; wasn’t the outfit supposed to be black with white apron, not red and black? But, although it seemed female, he realized it was a skeleton, bones and a skull looking grotesque with the maid’s outfit coving up the bones that was approaching him. What kind of being is this; that is coming toward him? He stands there, unsure what to do when she attacks him. He fights back but she is too strong for him, so he flees around the house, hoping to escape, maybe he can find safety in the house. Then, there is a blaring sounds and flashing lights -- he has triggered the alarms!
He looks over as another figure approaches him. What is this creature with its deformed body, twisted face and hands that are claw like? It approaches him and it raises it hands as if to attack; then screams at him. Enough already! He raises his arms and yells back at this creature. The creature pulls back and in the moonlight he sees a young girl, blond hair tied in pigtails. He yells again and turns to leave but approaching him is a police officer. But not to worry, this is the fairy one, one that all the burglars are laughing about. He runs past the police as the zombie, which is what the robber realizes the creature is, is left standing there with a confused look on her face. The police officer goes inside to talk to Mr. Tsalagi about the escaped robber while she goes onto the porch.
The police leaves and Chayton is standing on the porch when the zombie comes toward him, threatening him. He cowers in fear, terrified of the zombie approaching him. Then the porch lights come on and he stands up seeing that she is a young girl and are those pigtails she is wearing -- on a zombie? He shakes his finger at her, scolds her for being out so late and then goes inside hoping to get some more sleep. She walks over to the rocking chair to sit and think about what a horrible, confusing night it has been. Another zombie climbs the stairs and heads toward the door, but when he finds it locked he stomps his feet, yells and claws at the air, with his bald head shinning in the porch light. He then goes to join the young girl, sitting in the other rocker to wait for the dawn.
The sun rises, a golden disc in the sky, and the young girl dashes off; probably late for school. The man rises unsure of what to do but then decides to sit and rock some more; he is tired from the long, rough night and wants to take a nap. Meanwhile, the Tsalagi family is waking up, sleeping in due to the busy night. They plan their day; first a shower and breakfast and make sure the maid goes to her coffin. She deserves a good rest from the night’s events and they have some reading to do for their future careers. Then, who knows, Aponi hopes that maybe some afternoon delight will be in store for them.
The sun shines down on the peaceful town, looking as if it is a quiet place to live, no strange events that will disrupt a night’s sleep. A normal town where normal people live who have normal jobs, families and careers. The young salesman traveling through the town would never know that the person he is sitting beside at the diner is a werewolf. Nor that the woman who served him his meal is a witch and that a ghost and vampire were outside, under the shade of a tree, having a discussion.
They were talking about the rumors they had heard. One was of a skeleton that beats up a robber; such an event would be impossible. Who would believe that there were skeletons running around their town, ludicrous. The robber didn’t want to admit he had been scared off by a harmless maid. And then the other rumor, that the same robber had scared a zombie? That makes as much sense as law enforcement letting a fairy become a police officer. Shaking his head the vampire leaves to go home, frustrated that his skin has started to sparkle in the light. Who ever heard of sparkling vampires; it must be some skin fungus.

I thought Bonehilda was supposed to be great at fixing things. However, she was electrocuted trying to fix the dishwasher and, as is her habit, kept going back and getting electrocuted until she set the house on fire!
-
I had that happen also. What I found interesting is that she had a normal body afterwards. She was no longer just bones, and you could see the outline of her clothes.
-
I'll never get another Boney. My cats hate her, and my kid almost starved to death, because she was always picking her up. PLUS, and all my parties, she drank all the drinks! I hate that you can't control her like you can a simbot.
-

My Bonehilda actually made friends with the cat after a while. She started out hating her but Boney kept feeding her treats. Mine does some of what you say above, but she also takes care of things. I do keep the bar in household inventory to keep Bonehilda and the teenagers out of it when there is no party.
-
I don't have pets and don't think I will ever get any, they seem to be too much bother, at least for me. So, I don't have that problem, but I can see how it can be frustrating for those who do have pets. As for the bar, I just go rid of the one I had; but if you need to have one, they you could try putting her coffin in a room and locking it so she can't get out until after the party.
What I have done, for the kids, is I send her to her coffin, then put it outside and hired a maid for the days it took for the baby to go from toddler to child (I have it set for 10 days). Then I let her out and watch the maid freak out and run out the door stating about how they aren't going to become one of the walking dead ;D .
I love that I don't have to have my sims waste time on repairs, or spend the money for repairs when it was too late or my sims were too tired to fix the shower or sink. And save the money for maid service. I hate doing housework at home, I don't want to have to do it in a game.
I think that I am going to create an area for the bar and for the sims family to sit and enjoy a drink and put up a fence and have it locked except to family. Or build a small room, like a walk-in-closet, put her coffin there and lock the door when I don't want her getting in the way.
-
My Bonehilda raised three kids with no problems, and made friends with the cat. I do have to keep her away from the juice, but otherwise she works out well. I think the key to having one is to have a larger household. She's always running around cleaning dishes and picking up things, then dashing in to change a baby. My household usually had 5 to 6 Sims in it at any one time, a Legacy family.
Pets, like a cat or a dog aren't that much of a hassle. Some how my witch converted an apple into an alligator in a bowl. So now we have a cat and an alligator and two kids. The family autonomously takes care of both without cutting into the essentials. I've never tried a horse. Someday...
-
I find her to be too much hassle. My sim makes a meal and calls the household to eat. But, Boney get's their first and puts the food in the fridge. Then the family stands arounding stomping their feet. I just have my witch clean the house with the restoration spell.
-
In my curren game file Bonehilda spends most of her time either playing with the sprinkler or checking herself out in the mirror. She is cool to have but sometimes Bonehilda can be annoying when she puts stuff away when I dont want her to.
-

Bonehilda appears in the friend list panel? Because that is what I haven't succeeded in.The only option I got was to chat with germ and that didn't even made her a acquaintance.
For the people who didn't know: Bonehilda is a actual sim. She doesn't change her clothes, that's why you don't see it. The only change is when you mod her into an actual sim and change her clothes, or when you see prevailing repairing an object.
-
Bonehilda cooked! My Sim went into labor while mixing up waffles. When she had the baby and took it upstairs, Bonehilda came into the kitchen and finished the meal. She cooked up the waffles and then put them in the fridge.

How's the quality of the meal?
-
My Boney only plays with the cats and kids, and drinks the booze my sim set up for her party. My sim has had to clean the house, etc. She's worse than some maids! I had better butlers!
-
How's the quality of the meal?
Not sure. It wasn't burned or anything. I'll open the fridge and check it out. I was just surprised she cooked at all.
My families have had good luck with Bonehilda so far.
-
Bonehilda hit on the husband of my household!!! She went up to him and said (in that message area) "We have a lot in common. I'd really like to get to know you better." She had his face in her thought bubble, and he had hers in his thought bubble.
Nnnoooooo!
I wonder if they can make Nooboos?
-
And now Bonehilda called my Legacy dad up on the phone and asked for a date... three times one evening! She changed his diapers! Talk about cougar...

So, the EA attraction system is truly out of wack! Haven't had a boney since downloading Seasons. guess, i'll stay away from her. First pestering the kids, then going after the hubby!

My Bonehilda has never hit on anyone in my household though. I think like all sims each Boney has her own traits that affect attraction, so if you have problems with one you can always just try another :)
-
Oh I'm going to keep her. She will outlive this Sim anyway, but she is surely attracted to him, LOL. She has also taken up swimming now.
-
Funny! My boney never did anything but pester the kids and cats. My sim had to clean the house; because boney was tooooo preoccupied with the cats (who hated her)and the kids (who adored her).
-
And now Bonehilda called my Legacy dad up on the phone and asked for a date... three times one evening! She changed his diapers! Talk about cougar...
Cougar? That's an animal right? Or is it a synonym for walking skelletons as well?
And now Bonehilda called my Legacy dad up on the phone and asked for a date... three times one evening! She changed his diapers! Talk about cougar...
Oh, cool! You've accepted the date? That would be awesome. Most likely if it will become a relationship and you can marry her she will move in and you have her selectable. :)
Imagine: a skelleton sim in your household.... wow.
-
I love Bonehilda! Only problem I ever run into, is she never lets my babies or toddlers sleep! I always catch her snuggling them throughout the night.
It's pretty adorable though!
-
Cougar is slang term for an older woman who goes after much younger men. In this case, Bonehilda is three generations older than the Sim she's asking for a date.
He did not accept the date. He is married and eternally faithful.
-
After playing with her some more, I really like Bonehilda a lot. The only very annoying thing is that mine happened to have an unhealthy obsession with the hopscotch game, to the point where when I removed her from the court using MOO and went back to live mode to lock the doors for other reasons, she immediately ran back to play before I could get to the doors. I think I ended up just selling the hopscotch court. :P

That happened to me too. I guess Bonehilda likes to play hopscotch.

If you want to play hopscotch with your family, put it in a park and then Boney will do her job, because there isn't one nearby. All the annoying things sims are obsessed with, I put in the parks and not on my home lot. Then I send the family to the park to have fun; but, at home they study and do other things.
-
I caught Bonehilda warming her boney butt by the fire last night. Very funny. Poor thing goes out in the cold to clean up the newspaper in all kinds of weather, comes in soaking or cold.
-
I got my first Bonehilda yesterday, and aside from the fact that I wish there were more interactions with her, I already like her a lot. Most of the time she responds pretty quickly when something needs taking care of. She hasn't tried to hit on either of my ladies nor gotten obsessed with anything (bees, sprinklers, whatever). The only reason why I don't have her out permanently is that the kitty sometimes gets a scared moodlet from her, making me feel bad for the little guy. She taught the dog to sit while my Sims were out, though, that was sweet.
-
My bonehilda do clean around the house and could fix a broken toilet. Quite a useful bone she is.
But anytime she got free time already, the annoying bone can't stop took out foods from the fridge and put it all over the counter and any sims in my household that want to take anything from fridge keep having bubble 'can't get through'.
-
I have a bone to pick with Bonehilda! New game, and she hugs the kids, then disappears! The male sim's bachelor party was starting, and the female sim was at work. I thought Boney would care for the kids during his party. I had to search everywhere and she was at Mick's making drinks!
The poor groom had to keep going downstairs to take care of his fianceé's children from another relationship, while the party was going on!
-
How did you find her at Mick's? I have not ever found mine when she walks off. Though as far as childcare goes, she's been very good with my nooboos.
-

I use a mod that has map tags on everyone in town. I searched the tags and she was happily mixing and drinking. Couldn't get her to return home.
-
I think my Bonehilda is having a midlife crisis - I keep catching her at the mirror doing the "checking for wrinkles" animation.
-
Poor Boney getting lost.
I had a Boney that I couldn't find and so I returned her coffin and bought another one. Then I moved the house across the street to a bigger lot. A couple of days later, I looked across the street and there is Boney, reading a book by the trash can. I clicked on dismissing her, but the one who went to it was the other one.
So, here she will be, standing out in the weather, hail, snow, cold and hot temps.
What surprised me was that I could return her coffin.
Anyone know of a way I can help her?
-
I think you can delete her through testingcheatsenabled object delete.
When my Boney goes missing, I dismiss her, and then re-activate. She magically comes out of her coffin that way. The other night the front door was bugged somehow and she couldn't come in. It was not locked. I dismissed her, and activated her and she was fine again, with the front door and everything.
-
In one household, Bonehilda worked great--cleaned things up, didn't scare the pets, all was good. But in another household, all she does is drink from the wetbar, which of course means there are constant puddles on the floor as it goes right through her, and she doesn't mop them up all the time! Sometimes she'll drink three drinks in a row!
So I got rid of her and got another one, but she did the same thing, then started hitting on the husband! Yikes!
-
I've had that happen once. I kept finding puddles all over the floor and couldn't figure out why. Then saw her drinking from the bar and a few seconds later a big puddle. I had to remove the bar to keep her from it. She was still lazy about cleaning, so I replaced her. Her replacement didn't seem to want to clean either. She would get a book out and read it, go into a room check herself out in the mirror and wander around, like she was lost. Go back to reading a book again.
I got rid of her and three times the charm she has been a good boney maid.
Sometimes you have to just go through several maids until you find one that works out for your family. I have one that is great in everything, except the baby/toddlers. She won't leave them alone, she will give a bottle, change a diaper and play wih them, but won't let them sleep at all.
I dismissed her, she went into her coffin stayed there for a few mintues and then came right back out heading straight to the baby. I ended up waiting until she shut the door, paused it and then built a small room just big enough for her coffin as far away from the house as I could. Stuck her in it, she couldn't get out so just stayed in it. Returned her to the house after the last toddler aged up to child.
They all seem to have different quirks about them.
Just keep trying until you find one you like is my suggestion.
-
Decided to try her in a new game and all she did was lounge in the pool. She never left it!

I had one who just check herself out most of the time
-
Few funny pictures of Bonehilda making me laugh. Brushing teeth, reading books, jumping into the roof pool, or even raking leaves so long that it started to snow as winter came.

All my Bonehilda does in fall is rake leaves - and she never seems to get on top of them!
-
I have found that the only way I can get my Boney to get back to work, from raking leaves, is dismiss her. She'll then return to her coffin; give it a couple of minutes and then awaken her and she'll stays inside doing her chores. At least for a while.
I am thinking of using edit town to place decidious trees outside of my lot, so she won't go and rake the leaves but I still get to see the nice fall colors. Have evergreens in the yard for trees. Maybe one or two very small trees in the front, but that would be all.
Lot less leaves to rake up. I want some for the opportunities that the kids get; raking leaves and then playing in them.
-
I don't mind her raking leaves - saves my elderly couple from doing it - I just wish the trees only shed leaves once - every time she's finished raking there are suddenly new leaves there!
-
I start to believe I have Bonehilda more to see what crazy idea she'll come up with than actually for making my house clean as my sims tend to put dishes to dishwasher autonomously and most plumbing is upgraded to selfcleaning.
-
My witch can repair the house faster than Boney. The child swing keeps the kids happier, than boney. What I want is for boney to do the laundry, clean up the yard, etc. So, I don't get her anymore. She is useless!
-
Bonehilda was working fine when my sim was living by herself and focused on her career. She would make the bed when my sim woke up, clean the dishes, etc etc. It wasn't until I adopted some pets in order to get a unicorn that I grew weary of her. She would continually try to play with my cats, this wasn't really a deal breaker for me, as the cats were already at BFF status, but then my sim gave birth. And who was the one spending the most time with the child? Bonehilda. That was pretty much the last straw for me. Since she wouldn't go back in the coffin, I ended up just deleting her with testingcheats.
A few weeks later, Bonehilda called my sim up and asked her out on a date.
-
A MALE butler is betetr. Had it with female butlers who lazy as anything. But, had a male butler in previous games who did everything (even child care). He was a peach! Recently, my female sim only gets the female butler in town. She is lazy!
-

Butlers cook anytime someone's hungry, even if they're vampires. I always have to lock the kitchen doors, with Bonehilda I don't. Plus she'll take care of the babies and clean. Now if only she could answer the door for the Sims.
-
Yeah, but Boney doesn't do laundry or cook.
-
Yeah, but Boney doesn't do laundry or cook.
I found a trick to make her do laundry, but she'll do it as the last part of her chores: drag a piece of laundry into the washing machine. She'll then go around the whole house and collect any remaining pieces. This trick is not 100% failproof, but better than nothing.
By the way, if you want to prevent Bonehilda from spending too much time with your babies, just lock the door to the room with "All but my household" as she doesn't count as your household.
-
Yeah, but Boney doesn't do laundry or cook.
That's fine with me, I rather my level 10 cooking Sim cook, and I don't really use the laundry system. I thought it was cool until I found out every time they make nectar they put clothes in the hamper. If you go to the laundry mat and wash clothes there, you get the same moodlets without having to wash clothes all the time. Anytime a Sim changes their clothes the moodlet renews, even if it's gone.
-
Butlers cook anytime someone's hungry, even if they're vampires. I always have to lock the kitchen doors, with Bonehilda I don't.
Well, in mine, she is even worse than butler. Butler just cook when someone hungry. But, boney always took out and put on counter all the food when someone hungry. and she could do it TIMES.
At first, I didn't realize what she did until next morning I go to kitchen and there are still a lot of rotten food around. And where is the boney you ask? She keeps on trying to enter the room where I keep the baby and neglecting all her works.
She is as useful as a bag of bone.
-
The food and kiddies can be a problem. Mine (and I have several with my different families) with the food is that if the family doesn't get there fast enough she is putting it away and they stand there stomping their feet and yellinlg. I have to send them to the fridge then for leftovers.
Did have one where she took food out, but she put it right back in. I thought she was going to eat a meal, but she just set it on the counter, looked at it and then put it back into the fridge. She did this randomly, but she always puts it back in, so I ignored it.
With the babies and toddlers, I just dismiss her, move her coffin to another area; I sometimes put walls around her, just enough to close her in. If there is enough money I hire a maid, if not, then the family has the chores.
It is random on getting a good one or a pain in the rear one. I've have a couple that I just had to "returned" :D and got another one.
Did have one that finished cooking a meal twice, but I am sure it was a fluke, they were normal, and simple meals, waffles and mac and cheese I think was what was being fixed. Had to send the sim somewhere and she just went over and finished the meal.
I had been hoping that she would do it more often, had the sim walk away hoping to get her to do it, but just that couple of times.
-
One thing I did discover is that a toddler can ask to be put down, either by giving a command on an object they can use (the potty, for example) or by clicking on the ground and choosing "Be put down". Once she puts the toddler down, Bonehilda will do her own thing for a bit.
As far as the infant - the best luck I had getting an infant away from Bonehilda without sending her to her coffin was to make a mess somewhere else, so she'll put the baby in the crib to clean up. Mostly I don't mind if she spends her free time snuggling the baby - it keeps the baby's needs high, since she'll feed and change diapers as necessary and she'll eventually put a sleepy baby in the crib. It's just that sometimes Mom and Dad want cuddle time, too... :)
I've seen Bonehilda spend a lot of time in this cycle where she'd get a book, put it down, and then put it away. Maybe she gets bored if she doesn't have anything to clean up, so she makes the least messy mess possible? :)
-

Butlers cooking never annoyed me, the queuing to eat annoyed me. To me taking care of the babies first before cleaning is good. Butlers will do the same thing. I've never seen Bonehilda take food out of the fridge. A simple solution would be put all the food in a WA chest, or make single servings. Bonehilda would even take care of dirty counters faster then my Sim would. The ice cream machine and the fryer make the counters dirty really fast. I like that she'll clean it almost the second it gets dirty. It's a shame the fridge can't be locked. Another reason I like Bonehilda not cooking, is if you place a patio/grill area and have the mini fridge with it she won't mess with it. Butlers will trying to cook food. I tried that one time, also if Bonehilda is doing something you don't like you can send her back to her closet, until you need her again. With butlers you can't do anything with them.
-
My sim would cook a "perfect" meal, and call the guests to eat. Before they could get there, Boney put it in the fridge as "leftovers". I will never get another Boney, until someone mods her to be useful!
-
I buy her coffin if someone gets a which to do so, but I tend to leave her inside unless events have made the house much messier than normal.
-
I thought she can't surprise me anymore, but she just came to the fridge, and cooked herself some microwave fastfood, and even consumed it.

Mahmeya, that is the most fascinating picture! Bonehilda eating? My Bonehildas have never shown the slightest interest in food, other than to put away the leftovers (sometimes before the family members can get their dinner). I think you must have a highly intelligent Bonehilda, as she obviously knows she needs to put on a bit of weight.
I find it fascinating that the different Bonehildas behave so differently. I wonder if they have traits?
-
One of my Bonehilda's always grabs a piece of birthday cake for herself when there is a party. She will eat, sort of randomly. But I love my Bonehilda's. I've had one in one family for five generations now. She's snuggled LOTS of babies and raised them well.
-
As far as traits, I know I've seen a couple of my Bonehildas randomly do the athletic boxing animation, in addition to checking themselves out in the mirror which I think is for snob. I was hoping that they could eat and I just hadn't seen it yet, so I'll definitely have to watch out for that.
I just remembered something, wish I had a pic of it - I was giving the Big Brother challenge another shot, and I usually installed a hot tub during the contestants' non-skilling days. I knew some would skinny-dip and others would take the clothes of the skinny-dippers. All the thievery gave Bonehilda some ideas because she started in on the clothes-stealing shenanigans too. ::) It was amusing at first to see her giggle mischievously while picking up the pile(s) of clothes, but I ended up sending her to the coffin whenever the roommates started skinny-dipping after awhile.
-

Using Twallan's mods, I found out the traits and skills of my boney. Traits were OK (Brave, adventurous, friendly); but, she had ZERO skills. So using a mod, I gave her skills (cooking, handiness, gardening). BUT, she still did nothing but drink and lounge in the pool!
I'm waiting for either EA, or a modder to make her useful!

So Bonehilda has 3 traits, or are those just the ones you remember?
I find the Bonehildas and their various personalities fascinating. None of mine ever seem to anything except clean and return to their coffin. I wonder what would happen if you had more than one Bonehilda - would they fight over who got to pick up the dishes or use the mirror?
-
They are all different. had a Boney, with Brave (seems to a pre-requisite), handiness, and neat. She did have 10 for handiness; but, she still fried herself when fixing the broken dishwasher.
I have not used enough of them to see the variations (using mods).
-
I tried a Bonehilda in one game. All she did was swim and dive in the pool. Couldn't get her out so I had to move my family out of the house and delete the house in Edit Town mode, replace it and move the family back in. No more Bonehildas for me. She was fun for a minute or two before she got stuck in the pool. I tried a resetsim but I don't think you can reset Bonehilda. Oh well.
-
Hit the wrong button (Again!) and lost my post. So, try again.
I don't know what you know about cheats, but you could try this one Control+Shift+C and hit enter. Type at top in blue section testingcheatsenabled_true just that. Hit enter. Redo the Control step and type in moveobjects_on and then enter key. See then if you can pick her up and move her. I did that accidently to one of my sims. Was picking up a chair by her and picked her up instead, so you should be able to do that if the resetSim doesn't work.
*Note* when finished with the cheats, always remember to do the moveobjects_off cheat, that is an important step.
As for Bonies, I have a bad habit of deleting games that I just don't feel good about, no connection to the family, I guess. I give almost every family a Boney, so I have had a lot of them.
Some good, some bad, some seem to have a set "glitch" in them, such as the take food out and replace it several times before going back to cleaning. I have no problem in just getting rid of an annoying Boney and trying another one. Generally I cheat with the motherlode to get my family started, so that and fast earning from collecting, writing and painting, I get more than enough money to buy and return a couple of Bonies.
Anywho, try the reset and see if that works, if not you can try the moveobjects_on cheats and see if that works (if memory is correct you have done something that got rid of Boney and the pool). But for next time you have a problem, you can try that.
And don't give up on Boney, they can be a big help, especially if you have a large family.

Interesting thought. But, they would probably fight over who gets to snuggle the child.

Thanks very much for this, Janna. I'm off to try it now!

I'm just annoyed when I have a master chef and Bonehilda keeps putting canned soup in the fridge and everyone goes for the soup!
-
My Bonehilda has aged into an old lady who uses the toilet a lot. She is all black (not skin pigment) and uses a cane. I have never put any of my Bonenhilda back into their coffin closets but we moved so I packed her and then a few days later afterwards she aged. I use Bonenhilda's before but never experiences this, has anyone else seen this? She has flesh now too.
-
Mine likes to have conversations with the Magic Mirror and brush her teeth a lot. The only problem I had with her is that she wouldn't leave the cats alone and kept ignoring me when I tried to dismiss her. >:( It only happened once and on a full moon so I wonder if that has anything to do with it. :-\
-
I had to do a reset and didn't realize Bonehilda was holding the baby when I did. She disappeared and took little Anthony with her! I could still see him in the friend panel, but he left the active household. Bonehilda was gone and so was he!
*laughs*
Fortunately, I have a saved game from before this, but consider this a warning. There's a reason that boney maid keeps snuggling the babies!! Don't do a reset unless you dismiss her first.
-
The only time I have every seen a Boney with "flesh" is after she electrocutes herself. Then she has hair, it is all sticking out, she had flesh that is covered with soot and has undies on; you can see her belly button :) .
I've never had one age up, but I have only been playing sims for almost a year now (it doesn't seem like a year though) so I am sure that others can give better feedback on that.
*****************************
Glad to know about the baby and dismissing her. I have had to dismiss mine and lock up the coffin to keep her away from the babies until they age up to child. Mine's can't seem to leave the kids alone, even when they are crying because they are tired, she is getting them out and snuggling them.
-
My Bonehilda is doing fine on messes so far, she doesn't cook or bring out food (that I'm aware of), and has fixed a broken Nectar Machine too.
The only downside is if she's in one of the rooms where the son is, he'll flee. Even when he's sleeping. And he has the Heavy Sleeper trait (won't wake up for burglar alarms, but will at Bonehilda straightening up his room).
-
That seems odd, one of those weird quirks our Boney's have. So far, knocking on wood, I have yet to have anyone other than maids run fom my Boney's. I get a maid from the day the babies are born until they age up to child. I am mean in that when the toddlers age up I don't fire them I let them run into Boney and then go dashing out, stating that they won't be turned into the walking dead.
What I find weird is that none of my sims seem to mind when she enters the bathrooms and they are taking a shower or on the toilet. They just ignore her.
-
Sims with Coward and Neurotic traits will run away for sure, maybe Supernatural skeptic too (not tested).
She is not counted as member of your household so if you want to "ban" her access to some rooms, just lock them with "all but my household" or such.
-
Can anyone help me? Bonehilda will not take care of my children.. Every time she walks up to the crib, her interactions show but then quickly remove. like im glitched. I uninstalled supernatural and the sims 3 then of course re-installed both. i deleted her with the testingcheat, dismissed her to sell her back, bought 2 bonehildas ugh nothing is working. i even renamed the saved game. I went back to an older game from last year with bonehilda and it does the same. i think someone hacked me. Any ideas. I bet if i start with a new family, the same thing will happen. this sucks
-
Boneys are not meant to take care of children though. It seems more like a blessing that she isn't constantly bothering your kids.
-
I wish mine would leave the kids alone. I wouldn't have to lock her up and get a maid for those few days from birth to child.
She won't let them sleep, always waking them up to snuggle, no matter how tired they are.
Outside of that, I thinkk she is great, wish I had one here in my home.
-
In my first game with Bonehilda, she did help with the kid, so when my current family got twins, I had hoped she'd reduce the stress with them too. No such luck. She'd walk up to one, pause, then to the other, pause, then back to the first ... over and over. Sounds like the same happened to you, tazem? I wasn't impressed.
Her biggest facepalm moment came at the toddler birthday party, though. I did the "call guests to meal" interaction on the first birthday cake after the candles had been blown out, and Boney decided to grab a slice as well, though I've never seen her eat before. The dishwasher broke when she put her plate in it, and she promptly decided to repair it. ZZZAP! Cue fire and the guests uselessly going into panic mode around the dishwasher while she stood in front of it, motionless and even more useless. But no fear, the kids' mother is a Fire Chief, she has handled far worse! Right? No ... she refused to put down her toddler to put out the fire or do anything else. The dishwasher and the counter it was under went up in flames, but thankfully her mate autonomously jumped in to extinguish the flames just as the NPC firefighter arrived on the scene and admonished the family to be more careful in the future.
... yeah. That wasn't poor Joia's proudest moment. I expect her colleagues will tease her about it for a while. And I'll make sure to never let Bonehilda anywhere near a broken electronical device again. ::)
-
I'm having great fun with Bonehilda now as long as I keep her away from poor Marty Keaton (neurotic trait). One funny thing she did that I noticed: all day while my Sim was at work she did nothing but kick the gnome over, curse at him under her breath, stand him back up, and kick him over again. Rinse and repeat. She did this all day as I watched on the fastest speed.
-
My Bonehilda has a fascination with my Sim's blog - she's probably donated thousands of simoleons at this point. (My Sim's trying to get the five blogs sold skill challenge)
-
She did the same to my gnomes, would go over kick them and sometimes set them up and kick them again, then leave. It could be later in the day, or the next and a repeat.
I guess they got wise to her, she now walks up to them and they vanish! I guess they got tired of being kicked around. :D
@Korva,
I apologize, but I fond that funny. I've had mine get electrocuted a couple of times, she looks weird, as if she is running around in her undies, or a swim suit. Boney, at a birthday party got a slice of cake but she put it in the fridge. The maid was leaving so she stopped by and did the same; got a slice, stood there and then put it in the fridge and left. Boney came back and took the leftover cake and put it in the fridge and went back to cleaning.
I enjoy my Boneys, except when there are babies and toddlers around. She gets put away then.

I'm having my first experience with Bonehilda as I only just got supernatural, my sims are in a tiny starter home and didn't really need her but one of them wished to have her, it was the start of fall when I got her, she has spent the entire seven days raking and is still going into the start of winter, every time she makes a leaf pile a squirrel or chipmunk appears at last count I had 39 in my tiny garden.
The stray cats sit in the middle of all these rodents and look around like they are at an all you can eat buffet but don't know where to start ;D
(http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/w361/Turoskel/Bonehilda_zps655f6f14.jpg)
This picture shows just a fraction of them as they carry on right around the house, it's started to snow now so I'll just have to wait and see if she finally stops raking if not I might put her away poor thing.
-
Is this a glitch or something, because I shift-clicked on the mail box, and clicked something like add more supernaturals to the world, and I added more toad-people to the world, and I just went back to my house and saw Bonehilda with a toad/frog head?! Is that supposed to happen or something? It actually made me laugh quite a bit.

Guess the cat was lazy! With all those things to chase and kill! My cat would have been in heaven!

After reading some of these, I'm suddenly very glad I got my sims a Bonehilda. She's so far been very good about keeping the house tidied, though she doesn't pick up laundry. I have seen her walk into the bathroom while they were using it and not be embarrassed about it, which is doubly funny since both of my current sims are supernatural (a male witch and female fairy, brother and sister). Guess they're just use to Boney being around...
As for her little quirks, so far I've seen my Boney dear do an arm flexing pose (she's Athletic?), frequently check herself out in the bathroom mirror, clear dishes, clean the toliet, and make beds (definitely Neat). My sims have yet to chat her up since they're both working on getting skilled up to reach their LTWs, but I'll be trying that out as soon as I can. I'm hoping she'll be good with kids since I'm planning to marry off my man-witch to a townie who's got a child and another on the way...
In short, I really recommend getting a Bonehilda just because she's a nifty addition to any household.
-
If you have University Life, you may want to lock up your juice keg. Boney gravitates to that thing like a moth to the flame, and she refills it when it's empty too. On the other hand, she's an animated skeleton that doesn't even get paid, so maybe letting her get "juiced" is at least some compensation for her hard work. :p
-
I don't think it is linked to UL, I don't have that expansion pack and from day one, if I have a bar in the house, my Boney stays by it, drinking, peeing on the floor, mopping it up, drinking, peeing on the floor, mopping it up, drinking, peeing on the floor . . .
I was gong to lock it up in another room, but it seems she is a household member, she can open up the doors locked to all except household members.
I'm guessing she can chat with the family members if she wants to, I fainlty remember her chatting with one of the sims (male) and also a child. Can't remember if they were from the same family though, so it could have just been one of those quirks that pop up from time to time.
-
Odd, locking doors to everyone but the household to keep her out of a room does work for me. I get annoyed with her obsession with putting pet toys away, so I lock her out of whatever room I keep those in.
-
I believe I posted a workaround how to trick her into doing laundry some posts ago. What I've experienced, her priorities are quite unpractical - she allways starts with making beds, which can wait the most. She'll also frequently put group meal into the fridge faster than most of the sims can come and grab a plate. Bonehilda is also quite animal lover, as she'll take the time your sims usually don't have to teach a dog all the tricks. If she have nothing to do and there is a homeless dog, she'll teach him a trick too!
-
I love my Bonehilda's! yeah that's plural. I have 3, one in each colour set(Black and White, Blue and Yellow, Red and Black)
Bonehilda was a bit annoying when I first got her, but then I discovered something cool, that made her much less of a pest. She likes to Jam!
So I have 3 Bonehilda's that each play a different instrument to go along with my guitar. We jam in the front yard and when I throw a party. At the party all my guests will stand around listening to them, enjoying the music.
See that's the trick. if you know she's going to be trouble, just start jamming somewhere out of the way, and ask her to join. She'll stop whatever she's doing and come jam with you. Then you can stop and do whatever(cook a group serving meal for instance) and you don't have to worry about her coming along and interrupting things. Just before you put the kids to bed, start jamming with Bonehilda out in the yard or garage, then leave her to it. Most of the time I have to tell her to 'take a break from playing' to get her back to her normal duties.
This also works to reset her if you need to, say, get her out of the pool. Jam with her, then take a break from playing and she'll usually go about her normal business.
It would have been very cool if I could form a band with them, but alas it is not an option. :( Still it does look cool seeing a vampire with 3 skeletons jamming in the yard. hehe
-
The image of a band consisting of a sim and three Bonehildas is kind of awesome...
-
I made the mistake of reading this while I had food in my mouth.. HAD LOL- It is now all over my computer screen! I'm still cracking up at that image of a vampire and several Bonehildas jamming :)
-
That is hilarious! I can see it now, "<vampname> and the Boneys". Got any good screenshots of a group jam with them?
-
Addendum:
I just wanted to add a couple things;
First, Bonehilda will stop playing if there are no chores for her to do(make bed, mop, repair, clean, etc.) Easy work around is just give her something to do, grab a quick meal from fridge and leave it on the counter. With food on the counter, she'll now have a 'job', so you can set her up to jam, pretty much indefinitely.
Second: Bonehilda does get better at the instrument they play just as a Sim would, eventually maxing the skill and giving the +40 moodlet for their particular instrument.
Third: As a Vampire, at night you can Read Mind on Bonehilda and learn her traits that way. If you find traits you don't want, you can just dismiss her, sell her and replace her. You won't hurt her feelings. :D
I do not have any pictures at the moment, but I am thinking of taking a couple to share with you guys.

But does she do anything helpful for the house? yes, she loves to party (drink, play hopscotch, etc.). But other than that does she cook, do laundry, clean, etc. That's the reason I doon't use her anymore. She would clean up dirty plates, but never do laundry or cook. She spent most of her time boozing at the bar.
Have a butler now who does everything, even raking the leaves.
-
She does not cook, for which I am grateful, cause having her cook, does nothing to increase my own skill. She does not seem to do laundry, which is a shame really. Most of the time she even ignores the pile of dirty clothes on the floor, which does suck. She does clean, she repairs anything that breaks down(also annoying unless you've maxed handiness), and she's great when working on mixology as she'll drink what you produce, saving you having to clean it all up yourself. She will teach tricks to dogs if you have any, or any strays that wander by. She also won't clean windows, but then again, I can't seem to get any Sim, controlled or otherwise to do the windows, so I guess that's forgivable.
The following is from a new game, as my previous one got corrupted somehow. Everything I tried to get him to do was canceled immediately, and resetSim wouldn't work. :(
But anyways...
Here's a pic of Adam and the Bonehilda's.

and this one has a better background.

Personally, I like having them around, even if it's just to jam.

The Bonies I have had around have cleaned the house in the area of wash dishes, clean showers and toilets and unclogs them. She'll fix anything that is broken, which can be a problem if you are working on handiness skills, but I have my sims increase handiness by reading the books. I do have a mean side of me that likes to see her working on the dishwasher when it breaks down and she get electrocuted.
She rakes leaves in the fall also, which can be a problem as she then ignores the household chores. I just dismiss her, she comes inside to get into her coffin and then I awaken her and she will then clean the house and fix anything that is broken.
With babies and toddlers I do have to put her in her coffin and put it in an area she can't get out, box her in by taking the door off the room I usually build for her. She just won't leave them alone. She is always waking them up to hold and snuggled, coo and sometimes will give them a bottle, but not that often. She interfers in all areas with them; they can't get the sleep needed so they cry because they are tired. Which wakes up the parents so they can't get their sleep, so everyone is cranky.
I always get a Boney, and if she does thinks I don't like, or doesn't do her chores, which can happen, I just get rid of her and get another.
As for the bar, I quit having one of them, I can't seem to get my Bonies to leave it alone, they fix a drink, make a puddle which they then mop up, fix another drink and make another puddle which they then mop up, and the cycle continues. So, no bars.
I don't have party sims, no parties at my home, so it isn't a big loss for me, but for those who do, it can be a pain in the rear.
For me, the pluses outweight the negatives, so I like to have them around, never thought of having more than one though, good idea with you have a big family.
Strange how no one in the family freaks out when she walks in on them. Let one member walk in the bathroom on another member and they freak out and have negative moodlets. But Boney, they just ignore her and finish using the toilet and do the twirl to take the shower, with her in there.
-
Do not have a person with "Coward" Trait and Bonehilda!
-
I've found a new development with my Bonehilda one of my games. She cooks! I had a fridge full of burned goopy carbonara and wondered where that came from since my Sims have descent cooking skill. Well it was from Bonehilda practicing!
Now her meals are very nice to excellent quality. As always, Boney has to take it up to extremes. She sometimes spends all day cooking meals and putting them in the fridge. But my Sims always have food to eat, so it works out well.
Also the same Bonehilda is walking like she is aged. She's stooped over and shuffles a bit. She still is first on the set when there's a bed to be made or a mess to be cleaned up. I have not seen this behavior before.
-
I read somewhere, don't remember where, that they can die, which I think is sad, you kinda get attached to them.
I have had only a couple of them cook a meal or two, and that was just finishing up a meal that a sim started and then I had them leave it for some reason. For me, it would be a pain, as I generally have one sim working on cooking skills, sometimes even being a chef so that would get in the way.
Next time I have a big family and a big yard with lots of trees, I am going in the fall to get at least two if not three Boney's to help with the leaves.
-
I've had some weird experiences with Bonehilda. First of all, all she does is teach my dogs tricks. Like, my dogs literally cannot do anything else because Bonehilda won't give them a break.
Also, I've found that when my sim is in the hot tub, she can ask bonehilda to join and then proceed to ask bonehilda to cuddle. The game also gives you the option to "make smooth move", "kiss", and "makeout" with bonehilda, however, the only one that's worked for me is the cuddle option and the "make smooth move" option. When I tried kissing her she rejected me (lol)
Here's a pic: http://tinypic.com/r/157gjsy/5
also, using the "testingcheatsenabled true" cheat, i shift clicked her and clicked "trigger age transition" and for some odd reason this is what she looks like now.

My cooking, aging Bonehilda DID die just a few days later! I was so upset. I had to take her tomb to the graveyard before another coffin would work on the lot. If I ever get the opportunity to revive a corpse, I think I may take her ashes to the science facility.

I've encountered some very nasty bugs with Bonehilda, maybe someone knows a mod that fix them?
The biggest bugs concern children. If you have a playpen and she picks up the kid, they both get stuck and the only way to fix that is by resetting the sims. Mind you, if you do this there is a chance that your child will vanish from the game. I use overwatch to get the child back. The second bug seems to happen with all the cribs and can be quite annoying. Bonehilda will try to interact with the child and just stands there doing nothing, stopping any other sim from getting to the crib until she moves out of the way. Maybe the best fixes would be to *allow* Bonehilda to interact with the children, it would solve pretty much all issues I've encountered with her. For some reason she just isn't eligible to do so at all, beside picking them up from the playpen - which is a pretty nasty bug.
-
I don't know about mods, but I just put her coffin away in the inventory or extra room and take off the door. She will constantly wake the kids up (nooboo and toddlers) and not let them sleep.
She gets one out, I had a parent walk over and she would put the baby back into the crib, move out of the way and then before I could get them to pick the kid up, she was back over there getting the kid out. Would take forever to get her away from the kids enough to send her to her coffin, if she had to pass the nursery and a kid was there, it overload the order to go to the coffin and she would head toward the crib.
Had to once use the move object cheat to move the crib out of the house, send her to her coffin and then I locked it up in a room minus the door. Now, before the baby is born I make sure she get her put up.
Frustrating, but the good of her outweighs the bad, I just hire a maid during that period of time.
-
All of my Bonehildas (like 25 Bonehildas (I'm a bit of a neat freak with my sims)) just crowded around babies and clap at them or crowded around doggies, being mean to them. It's pretty funny when they get all stuck together and just be mean to each other, but unfortunately, they hardly clean when there are babies, or dogs around.
-
Hi Zoey.
I made some changes in your post to remove the scrolling. It just makes it hard to read and we prefer to leave any text at the default setting.
-
The only thing my Bonies have acted mean toward are the gnomes. They go over to them, have even hunted them up, and kick them. When I had Pets they would play with the strays and teach them tricks. Let a couple into the yard. I have uninstalled Pets, so that problem no more, but still with the pick up the baby, put it down, pick it up again, put it down, walk away, come back and repeat this over and over.
The most frustrating thing I had with it was the baby would cry because Boney had woke it up. Mom or Dad would go to the baby but she would get there ahead of them. Most of the time they would stand there and wait until she put the baby down and finally left. If they arrived at the same time, the parent would step aside and let Boney get the baby. She would put the baby down, leave the parent would follow the order to pick up the baby, put it back into the crib leave and Boney would go back in.
By then it is close to morning and I have exhausted parents with one who needs to go to work and the other is so tired they can't take care of the baby as they are always wanting to go to bed.
Lock her up and when the baby ages to toddler let her out; hire a maid or just have my sim do the cleaning.
-
I have Bonehilda, and she can't pick up my toddler for some reason. Any ideas why?

my guess is a glitch in her. For me, that would be great as she won't let them sleep.
Try getting rid of her and buying another one and see if happens again.

**ed if you do, **ed if you don't! I want some extra help with the toddlers! Lol

I find Bonehilda quite creepy so I never got her. :D,

I love her! I have so many pets, she helps out a lot! My sims are not afraid of her and chat her up whenever they're bored! I especially like to watcher teach my dogs to play dead by doing it herself!
Admin, I see my earlier post edited. Sorry! Didn't realize that wasn't okay!

My sim just moved into a new house. No Bonehilda house inside but there was a fairy Bonehilda on the property! My sim can't interact with her she just keeps doing the fairy flying in circles outside the living room window :D

How do you get a fairy Broomhilda?!

Have a game glitch. ;D
Bonehilda doesn't come as a lifestate other than "skele-maid" and so can't be a fairy (or any other occult) in normal play.

I had to delete the fairy Bonehilda because she kept casting "chattering teeth" on my sim. It was crazy ;D

I have another Bonehilda game glitch. She looks like a normal human sim, but just stands in Varg's Tavern drinking and wetting herself! :o

Did you know the neurotic trait makes sims run away from Bonehilda? So do Coward and Supernatural Skeptic. What's funny is my Supernatural Fan werewolf was neurotic and she still ran away!

I'll try but my MAC doesn't seem to save the pics in the proper format to attach to the posting. It won't accept tiffs or pdfs and I don't know how to change to mp3 or 4.

I may be severely outdated, but I thought mp3 & mp4 were audio files, not pictures.
A simple picture editing program (GIMP, maybe?) should let you save as/export as a jpg, gif, or png.

I'm using photobucket.com for photos. I upload them to photobucket and resize the 800 x 600 and it's worked out. You can crop them there too! I just figured all this out a few days ago so I'm not an expert. But, I hope that helped!

I have Photoshop. Do you save them as a .jpg? When I played yesterday Bonehilda (looking like a normal sim) left the tavern, got in a car and drove away! Somehow the game created a human-looking Bonehilda and I saw the normal skeleton one in the tavern as well! I'm busy with work today, but I'll still try to upload a pic at some point :)

My bonehilda grown flesh after being singed. She is in the B&W palette colour.

They are, but when I tried to upload a jpg, I got an alert saying that it wasn't the right format and to upload mp3, mp4, zip and rar which I thought was very strange.

My vampire Sim was able to read Bonehilda's mind. I decided to read one of Bonehilda's traits. Once I had read her mind, a message popped up saying "(--) has learned that Bonehilda's is a Perfectionist". I got really confused about this because Bonehilda's is an object, not a Sim... I'll try to post an image later.
-
Well, there was a glitch once in my game that make my bonnie looked exactly sim alike. Flesh and all, hair too. She had traits: neat, perfectionist, handy, lucky, and athletic.
-
Makes total sense. Neat and perfectionist to make her clean. Handy so she can fix things. Athletic and lucky so she can beat up burglars and win!

I thought that was impossible. There must be a door somewhere that you forgot to locked.
Or perhaps it's just a bug.

This isn't a problem but just a funny story...
I kept noticing that these weird water puddles kept appearing in the kitchen near the bar and Bonehilda's closet. Bonehilda always mopped them up, but I couldn't help but wonder where they were coming from. So, I decided to watch the kitchen for a sim day and see if I could spot the culprit.
As it turns out, my Bonehilda has developed a drinking problem. She makes herself a drink (or two or three...) at the bar and drinks it. But being a skeleton with no stomach, the drink just ends up as a puddle in the floor. Then Bonehilda laughs and claps her hands like it's the funniest dang thing she's ever seen, then mops up the mess.
