Rules and scoring:

Succession Laws:
Gender: Strict Matriarchy (Found must be female, all heir must be female)
Bloodline: Strict Traditional (Only natural born children can become heirs)
Heir: First Born (First born female will be the heir, should the heir die before YA, the next born female will be named the heir.)
Species: Tolerant (The child's species has no bearing on their eligibility as heir)

My own special rules:
Playing on short lifespan.
Can only marry colourfull spouses. (Green, red, blue, etc.)
All aspirations will be randomly rolled, and can only be changed when completed.
Carrers cannot be abandoned to take up another career. The career must be maxed before changing. If the career was not maxed when quitting the sim cannot take up another career.
Sims will primarily be working on skills related to their traits, current career or current aspiration (expect that they might keep on leveling a skill that they started on)
Will collect all collections even only 13 are required for points. (Except the time limited once)
Will not use life extension (except if the Active traits or the Athletic aspirations are rolled)
Will not use lot traits.
Will not use the legacy club for benefits, so will only be active to gain points not rewards.
Will not use reward traits, will only be buying the needed potions for points.
Must reach all 103 points! (Most important rule.
(Might be added more or something will be removed.)

Score:
(Will be updated with each chapter.)
Family         2/10
Creative         2/10
Fortune         1/10
Love                 2/10
Knowledge    4/10

Food         0/10
Popularity      0/10
Deviance        0/10
Parenthood   0/02
Penalties         0
Handicap         1/1

Total:         18/103

I'm so thrilled that you will be playing a legacy challenge on Short lifespan!

After looking through your new self-imposed rules, I must say that you've boosted the challenge's difficulty waaaaaaaaaaaay more than "a bit."
No clubs, lot traits, or reward traits!?!?!?! Randomization for all aspirations?!
And no life extension, period? *shudders
You've made Pinstar's Legacy insanely difficult and I'm eager to learn how you play by these rules.

Needless to say, I'm breathlessly awaiting your first update!
(I'd ask if you accepted disciples, but I've secretly been one for several years without your knowledge or permission, lol!)

I must admit i cant play this game normally anymore, I always feel like pushing myself, so I make up some rules, now I will see how it goes or if I will have to change them to be able to achieve anything at all.
And maybe I did not figure out all the rules yet?

@oshizu You inspired me to start a legacy agian, with reading yours, I initially thought that playing on short would be to much of a challenge, but you are rocking that. So I took some of the rules I a long time ago had prepared for a legacy on the normal lifespan, and took out the "mostly insane" things on it (read not doable on short for sure) and this is what i ended up with.

@Shewolf13 Thanks I hope she will manage (untill now its been hard)

@rika1431 I know the feeling, but I already are working around the club perks in the Life States Dynasty, so that part of it is lucky doable, but still harder.

I'm thinking that perhaps @LenaLJ and @Playalot might be cosmic sisters of some sort in terms of their gaming style. :D
Hats off to you both! :D

I'm so excited to see how this goes! It looks devilishly difficult, but I'm with you, playing without some self-imposed restrictions is too dull at this point. This, on the other hand, looks really exciting! Plus, your founder is gorgeously green!

Week 1

Once in a while a sim is chosen to do a legacy challenge, with all its glory and benefits. But surely also all the hard work.
This time its my turn, with the guidelines on my phone I am ready to embark on my adventure. My name is Clover Petal and this is my story.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

This is where my family will live also long after I am gone. Its the Hounds Head in Bridleton Bay, the biggest lot in town. I can only imagine what kind of house we could build here.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

But before I could build anything I needed to scout the city for 2 things. Things I could collect and sell. And someone to catch my eye.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

And his blue skin and reddish hair caught my eye instantly. So I stepped up and asked directly if he would take a chance with me, and he luckely did.

His name is Nico Bray, and we had a good date. I told him everything about the legacy right away, feeling as if we could be soulmates. And he did not even find it strange that we did not have any money for food at the restaurant.

Back home the first milestone was complete, this statue would watch over all comming generations.

Nico also returned home with me, moved in with me, and gives me butterflies in my stommach. Can you be in love so fast?
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

We felt we where, we could not wait to start a family together.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

And we should not wait long. I couldnt stop smiling. Pregnant already.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

But life was not easy we had nothing. We collected, fished and all what we could think off in order to gain just a little bit of money.

Specially the nights where hard. Sleeping on benches side by side.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

But we both worked. I took a job in the painting career, and Nico in the athletic career. Soon we could buy the most important things, building us a little camp.

And we could not have done it soon enough. That night I gave birth to a little sprout.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Nico bonded quickly with his son, taking his turns feeding and changing diapers.

But time goes so fast and the little sprout soon grew into a toddler. We named him Sage.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

We where one little happy family. I used alot of the free time on waiting so we could sell my paintings. While Nico taught Sage the basics. With a new baby on the way we needed the money more than ever.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Sage was a little charmer. He looked so much like Nico, but had my eye colour.

Again I woke up in the middle of the night, as it was time to give birth.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Welcome to the world little sprout. Our first heiress was born.

And so the first week came and went, our family grew, we reached some levels in our careers, aspirations and skills, but did not gain that many points.

Week 1: 3/103
Family: 1 (1/9 heirs have aged to YA; Clover Petal)
Love: 1 (3/27 unique traits; Nico Bray)
Handicap: 1 (Extreme start)

Clover is so beautiful and Nico good-lucking so naturally Sage would be a handsome little boy!
The combination of light blue skin with copper hair is quite striking, both on father and son.

I can't wait to see the daughter as a toddler! A botanical naming theme? Brilliant!
By the way, I've been thinking lately about the "Have had/adopted 10 children in one generation" point and wondering how insane it will be with toddlers. Hahaha.
Please tell me you'll have time for another update this weekend? I'm loving this story already!

The symmetry of sleeping together on park benches! You made that look quite charming.  ;D

Clover is off to such a great start! The campsite with the washing on the line looks so homey.
Nice is very handsome and I'm glad he was so agreeable right away. Sage is adorable, and I can't wait to find out what color Sprout turns out to be!
They really do seems like a totally charming, happy family.
