Hello ^^  It's been a while since I've posted up anything for Sims.  I saw the Ten Gen Townie Dynasty shortly before life got in the way. I haven't even gotten to play Sims in several months (shortly after Parenthood came out).  When I returned, I thought it would be the perfect way to come back... as crazy as it sounds XD

My founder was chosen because she holds a special place in my heart.  She was the spouse of my Immortal Dynasty founder.  I've loved her quite a lot since then so she was the perfect choice.  Now, I will say that I'm not sure how much of an actual story this will be.  May just do a kind of summary with commentary, but we will see.  Without further ado, here we go!

First

"Watcher, where's Han?  Where's Ripley?"

Oh Ulrike... I'm sorry.  I was hoping you wouldn't remember that past life.  The file is safe, but since so much has changed, I don't quite dare play again until I've read the new rules.  That and since we've gotten several new packs...

"O-oh... W-will I ever see them again?"

Yes!  Of course!  Just- not right now.  First, I have a job for you.  It's your time now, Ulrike.  It's time for you to be a founder of your own dynasty.  Do you think you can handle that?

"I-  I will try, Watcher!  As long as I can rejoin Han and Ripley someday."

You have my word on that.

That's right.  My founder is Ulrike Faust.

Her and I didn't waste any time.  She painted herself and her roommate very quickly to get that out of the way.  Then, she immediately went to San Myshuno.  The Watcher decided that posters would make a nice museum collection, especially since 10 days go pretty quickly.  So she found herself in San Myshuno.

While waiting for posters to spawn (and repawn, of course), Ulrike decided to keep up with her painting.

Now, the Watcher, of course, had an idea of who she wanted for Ulrike.  And let me know tell ya... Ulrike wasn't having it.  To be honest, it's hard for me to pair a Sim with a different spouse than they've had before in my games.  But still, had to be done.  Of course, getting Ulrike to meet this spouse was sooo hard!  He showed up where she was a few times, but she always managed to miss him.  In fact, she only got to see him from afar no less than 5 times.  This is the closest she got to him at first:

But eventually, the Watcher took the initiative and sent her to his apartment.  Now, there were a couple reasons for this: one, Ulrike knew his name, since he is quite a famous art critic.  That and he's quite handsome, in a city slicker way.  It didn't take long for him to appreciate her beauty and her straight-forward charm.

Since things were progressing just as planned and Diego was more than smitten (even Ulrike seemed rather taken with him), it was time for Ulrike to place her museum pieces.  (Special thanks to @saltpastillen for her gorgeous museum)

Now, it was time for her to move in.  Of course, she needed to wait until the next day to see him.  Except, he invited her to a party at the Bluffs.  This was excellent news and perfect timing.  They met with a kiss.

And since there was a convenient bush there-

Eventually, after a bit of hob-nobbing with some of the other guests, Ulrike got Diego alone.  And she popped the question.

Since he was enchanted with her, he said yes.

After explaining to him that she was to be the founder of a Dynasty, he agreed to an elopement.  It was a quick and simple ceremony, just the two of them- and their Watcher, of course.

Ulrike was quite taken with her new home.  1020 Alto Apartments in San Myshuno was quite a step up from the little cottage she shared with Maaike in Windenburg.  She may miss the quiet little town, but there was something lively about the gorgeous city, especially when she was near the window painting.

Of course, they had to celebrate their nuptials (and let's face it, they needed an heir as soon as possible).

Soon enough, it was confirmed that their celebration had been a success.  Diego was pleased when Ulrike told him.  In fact, she couldn't even wait until he had gotten in the door from work to tell him.

I have to say, it's been fun only controlling one Sim.  This Watcher is a micromanager, so it's been a little difficult getting used to, but it's fascinating to see how they act when not being controlled.  Diego is quite taken with his wife and the potential of their child.

Ulrike's pregnancy was spent painting, raking up aspiration points and interacting with Diego for more satisfaction points from whims. Finally, though, labor began.  Rather than heading to the hospital, she decided on a home birth.  She was having second thoughts though as pressure built.

With a lot of breathing (and screaming), her child was born.  Welcome to Jewel Faust-Lobo, the heir.

Diego is as taken by his daughter as he is her mother.  Maybe more so, in some ways.  He's proving to be an amazing dad.

Ulrike loves her daughter, but she can't help but think of another child and another husband out there.  So she decided to try to help calm her mind.  Yoga isn't easy, but she's finding it somewhat calming, even if she doesn't quite have the poses down.

Then it was time for Jewel to become a toddler.  Ulrike's world shrank to that tiny little bundle.

She'd never forget Riley- or Han- but Jewel needed her now.  She had Jewel and Diego.  They were a family.  An adorable family at that.

Diego is a wonderful father, as stated already, but it's just cute to watch him with Jewel, even when she's having a tantrum.

But even with Diego's help, raising a toddler is pretty difficult.  Even after the free day, where the Watcher could watch Diego and Jewel, it seemed to be more chaotic.  Still, as Ulrike sat there, meditating, she was happy.  She would see Han and Ripley again, but for now, she had Diego and Jewel to look after and a Dynasty to oversee.

An excellent start!!
I loved that you chose Ulrike as the spouse.  She was the spouse for my vampire hunter in a failed RDC attempt and I just adored her!
When you dropped your micromanaging comment and what a challenge that is for this challenge it was like you were voicing exactly the thoughts I had which convinced me not to do the TGTD!
Looking forward to reading more and seeing little Jewel blossom into a lovely combo of those excellent genes!

@PeregrineTook

I love Ulrike.  She was such a fantastic spouse in my Immortal Dynasty.

I wanted to see if I could break some of that micromanaging because one of the things that keeps bringing me back to the Sims is the stories that unfold and there is something pretty cool about watching what they do when you don't control them lol.   So I would suggest trying out a practice run, just to see what you think ^^  It is freeing in some ways, though still a bit hard lol.  I have to be careful, since I do at least click on each family member, just see stats and all that.  So I have to be very careful about making sure I'm back to Ulrike before I do anything at all XD

Oh I can't wait to see what she's like as a child, then a teen!  I was excited that she has Diego's blond hair.

Wow, Ulrike has made so much progress already!
Since Ulrike is an artist, Diego the art critic seems quite the logical choice.

And his apartment/penthouse must be very cushy! I can only imagine!

Haha, Ulrike was HUUGE right before her delivery then she was immediately slim again.
Jewel is such a gem, so adorable! It will be so fun watching her grow up and seeing who she resembles and what features she shares.

Is Ulrike working?

@oshizu

Yeah, that was my thought lol.  That and I did like his looks.  His apartment only had a little something to do with it XD hehehe.  It's a nice space.  I haven't done many changes to it, since it works quite well.

And yes, she was!  I was afraid there were going to be twins again XD.  I can't wait to see what Jewel looks like as she gets older.  So far, from what I can tell she has her mother's eye color and her father's hair color.  We'll see who's features she has as she ages.

Yes, Ulrike is working.  I did list her points under her stats.  She has used up some vacation days though in order to get things going.  That and didn't want her to get promoted before she had moved in with Diego.  She's at level 4 now.  She starts at level 2 in the Painter career.

@KTK10
Thanks!  It's great to be back.  Hehehe, she loves her previous family.  But I think she's got a soft spot for this one too, as you'll see in the new update that will be coming shortly.

Diego makes a great spouse, and I love his apartment. Ulrike is off to a good start!

@MarianT

He really is!  I've never actually played with him much, to be honest, though I love San Myshuno, so I'm so happy at how good a spouse he is!  I chose him as a spouse because I thought he fit Ulrike, that and I wanted to keep things simple for my first go around, as a way to ease into things a bit, I think and since he was a male living on his own, he fit the bill.

Update incoming.

Second

Warning!  The next update will be a lot of toddler spam, so... you've been warned mwahahaha

First off, let's take a closer look at our little "angel", Miss Jewel.  I just love that little hoody.  That may very well be a hand-me-down for the dynasty mwahahaha.

Here's a bit better look at that cherubic little face.

Jewel is adorable, but she is proving quite a handful.  Even as her mother explains a few things, there's a light in her eyes that makes Ulrike just a tad bit uneasy.

Diego is a wonderful father, but as so often happens, he is wrapped around those tiny little fingers.

Ulrike says hello to her husband after he returns home from a rough day.  But then again, Diego enjoys his job and makes good money.

The two have found out they can't take their eyes off their little darling for a moment.  She tends to get herself into all sorts of trouble.  And enjoys making messes more than anything.

After the mess is cleaned up, it's time to clean up the toddler, but she insists upon splashing water all over her mother.  Of course, hearing that little giggle just softens Ulrike's heart and she can't remain mad at the little imp.

She loves animal crackers more than anything.  Most anything else she only eats if she's starving.  But animal crackers?  That child loves em!  Talk about picky eater.

It took a little while, but she's finally sleeping through the night.  I swear there are night terrors in this game because she often woke up in the middle night, even when she was in the red.  But now, as long as mom and dad give her a bit of a tuck-in, she goes right out.

Depending on the morning, dad often gets the little one out of bed and gets her fed.

Before they know it, though, it's time for their little tyke to become a child.  There is both a sense of dread and yet relief.  They may actually get a bit of sleep now, but how can they say good-bye to their little girl?

Ehem... so, the Watcher somehow missed getting a proper aging up photo for poor Jewel... but I know one thing, she was a handful as a toddler.  She is now a terror as a child.  In fact, when her dad sat down to play dolls with her, she led off with quite a joke that had him blushing and wondering just where she heard that from!

She hasn't gotten any neater either.  If anything, bigger kid now equals more of a mess!  And oh boy... has she got a mouth on her.  It's a good thing no one has moved into the apartment next door or they would have gotten an earful...

Imagine poor Ulrike's surprise when she came home (albeit with a promotion) to hear her daughter's tirade and then see the mess she made!

While Jewel did her homework, Ulrike gave her a bit of a talk about what young Sims should and shouldn't say.  Still, Jewel is a good-natured girl.  She has her father's hot-headed trait, btw.

If Ulrike thought she might be able to get some sleep as Jewel got older, she was sadly mistaken.  Jewel came running into her room, waking her up, crying about a monster under her bed.

While a full night's sleep was a fond, fond memory, Ulrike found herself in Jewel's room, spraying for monsters.  After all, Jewel was her little girl.

"Thanks, mom!  No monster would dear cross you!"

Ulrike grinned down at her daughter and then leaned down to enfold her daughter in a big hug.

As Ulrike took a bit of a break from her Yoga, she couldn't help but think deeply.  She missed Han and Ripley, but she realized that it was another life.  She had a life now.  A life with Diego and Jewel.  If things went well, there would be many more generations to follow.  Even as she smiled softly, it disappeared.  Oh my... she had to deal with Jewel's teenage years...  She wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry.

To close out this update, here's a closer look at Miss Jewel as a child.  Already, I can see she has her father's hair color, her mother's eye color, but if I am looking at it right, she has her father's eye shape and her mother's lips, which I'm excited about.  I can't wait to see how it all blends together when she gets older!

I looked closely at Jewel's CAS photos and see that she had the Wild toddler trait and has the Hotheaded child trait.
Talk about a handful!

Jewel was a little doll as a toddler and now's she's a lovely little girl. Do her cheeks and jawline resemble Ulrike's as well?
I guess we won't really know until she's a teenager.

I love how Ulrike welcomes Diego home from work in her lingerie. I bet Diego ran out of his office and all the way home for that!
Ulrike seems to be thriving in her wonderful living space and beautiful family. They lead such an elegant life!

Oh my goodness!  Diego and Ulrike are delightful, but Jewel definitely stole the show!
Even though Ulrike may be dreading a teen-aged Jewel, I can't wait!!
