Tenacious Rivalry Dynasty--Bzlnork, Week Two
« Reply #30 on: April 03, 2017, 10:59:51 PM »
Pippin:  We rejoin the Bzlnork household...where everyone other than Izumi has to use the bathroom...

Splark Six Six.I.Am:  Well, you did leave us on a lot that had nothing but a bush for a bathroom.
Autumn:  Yeah, and it's not like I'm gonna use the bush in front of him!
Pippin:  But in the brief time the restaurant was open before we head home to have a little half-alien girl age up, we found him.

Pippin:  He's an alien.  His last name is Mori.  Maybe he's not one of Oshizu's Moris, but he's still pretty cool.
Autumn:  He's dreamy!
Izumi:  Back off, helper-girl!  That alien hunk is gonna marry my baby!
Pippin:  This is a really weird conversation.  Meantime, we go age up the baby girl.

Pippin:  She's adorable, but why the hat?
Splark Six Six.I.Am:  So no one can tell she's an alien.  Shhh.  Secrets.
Pippin:  Seriously?
Izumi:  Eh, it's cute, so I'm humoring him.
Pippin:  That sounds more like it.  Now that she's a toddler, we can bring her to the restaurant and focus on knocking out those toddler skills.
Autumn:  I believe you mean so I can focus on knocking out those toddler skills?

Autumn:  So, the Big Bad Wolf weighed the values of veganism, but ultimately ate the pigs, because he's a wolf, and therefore, a carnivore.
Pippin:  That's terrible!
Autumn:  No, it is both fanciful and scientifically accurate.
Seven:  (Babbles while gesturing for food)
Autumn:  Oh, looks like someone needs to feed the child.  Wonder who that will fall on.  Oh yes.  Me.

Autumn:  And this, my darling Seven, is called grilled cheese.
Seven:  Grichee!
Autumn:  Aaww, her first words!
Pippin:  Really?  Those are her first words?
Splark Six Six.I.Am:  My first words were, "I'm an alien!"  I said them in the first update!  I didn't have a childhood.
Izumi:  Okay, honey.  No more speaking.  Come pose for your portraits.
Splark Six Six.I.Am:  Okay!

Pippipn:  Really?  He's not even facing us in one of them.
Izumi:  Oh.  Isn't he?  I hadn't noticed.  It's him though.  Trust me.
Pippin:  Oh I trust you...wait...where's Seven?

Seven:  Washa grichee!!
Pippin:  Ugh.

Izumi:  Washa baby.
Pippin:  Despite her parents, Seven manages to max the potty skill (using it, not playing in it), communication, and imagination.  This leads us to her second birthday in a week.
Autumn:  And guess who made the cake.

Autumn:  And brought her to it.
Pippin:  Aunt Autumn is awesome.
Autumn:  That is true.
Pippin:  And after a trip to the dresser,

Pippin:  little Seven is ready to go make some friends.
Seven:  Let's knock this social butterfly aspiration out of the park!  Or some other suitable cliché!  Grichee!
Pippin:  Is that going to be a thing?
Seven:  It is so a thing!

Seven:  Hi, employee!
Kati:  I do have a name.
Seven:  Yeah you do!  Well, I have to go meet other people now.  Maybe make a bestie!  And eat some grichee!
Kati:  That's not a thing...
Seven:  Already not listening.

Seven:  Okay, it was nice meeting you grumpy older guy whose name I already forget!  Oh, hi kid my age!
Kaylin:  Technically, I'm older than you since you only just became a child.
Seven:  Oh, you and your facts.  We're going to be besties, I can just tell!
Kaylin:  Do I get any say in that decision?
Seven:  Of course not, silly!
Kaylin:  ...okay.

Seven:  So, clouds, right?
Kaylin:  I guess.  You think they look like anything?
Seven:  Oh, that one is...
Kaylin:  ...
Seven:  ...

Kaylin:  ...
Seven:  You know.  No.  They just look like clouds.
Pippin:  I thought you maxed imagination?
Seven:  Apparently I just faked it very convincingly.  Let's hug, bestie!
Kaylin:  You know we haven't actually hit the good friends level yet, right?
Seven:  Psh, silly facts again.  Bring it in!

Pippin:  I admire your persistence, but you should probably actually eat and do other silly things like use the bathroom before you get horribly embarrassed.
Seven:  See you after dinner, bestie.
Kaylin:  Again, not besties.
Seven:  Yes we are!

Seven:  Totally.  Gonna.  Make it.  To.  The potty.
Pippin:  She did, and ate, and invited Kaylin over.

Seven:  Hey, bestie!
Random Vampire Guy:  Hello, bestie.
Seven:  (whispering) Umm, let's pretend we both don't see him.
Kaylin:  (whispering back) Agreed.
(Good friends status achieved!)
Seven:  Okay, he's gone.  Let's gaze at stars!  They're so much better than clouds.
Kaylin:  Okay.
Seven:  ...
Kaylin:  ...

Kaylin:  ...
Seven:  Oh look.  Those stars look like tiny lights.
Kaylin:  Well, that's kind of what they are.
Seven:  Just let me have this one, bestie.
Kaylin:  (Sigh) Okay good friend.
Seven:  Progress!!!

So, another week into the Bzlnork household yielded lots of second generation success as Seven (and Autumn) nailed toddlerhood and Seven's halfway through her childhood aspiration.  Splark Six Six.I.Am has been promoted to level 5 of the secret agent career.  Starve Wars is at a 4 star rating, but was only open for two meals over the course of the week as our focus was on Seven.

Grichee! It's a thing! I love it! Boombayah (is the only BlackPink song I know)!

So exciting that we got to witness the first words of both Six and Seven. So sorry I didn't realize it at the time, but Six seems to have a very good attitude about his nonexistent childhood, and indeed about everything else, so that's nice.

Very nice find on the dreamy alien man. I'm very much looking forward to seeing more of that guy. Not so much the Random Vampire Guy.

Seven is a total charmer, and I can't help but admire her determination. I would totally be her bestie!

I'm also a fan of Seven and her grichee (which, oddly, reminds me of kimchee).

I'm confused about who Autumn is. What happened to Mena who moved in with the Splarks in Week 1?
Great job with the helping, Autumn!

I love Seven! She's so sassy! Oh, the week is over already? *feels sad
By the way, Ricalynn has a Mori in her RDC and now you discover a Mori (an alien, no less) in your RDC?
Why I got no Mori action?!  :(    #justiceforoshizu

Okay, Shana (not Boris!), I'm ready for you this time!

P.S. What did you mean by "the basic triangle"? *checks roofing in Build mode
Is that the Hipped Roof or the Half Hipped Roof? Yes, I would love for you to show me/us your roofing!

Good lord, this seems like a LOT to keep track of. Super fun, though! Do alien toddlers and infants have a disguise option?

Yeah, the Mori guy was a delightful surprise!  Can't wait to introduce him to his future wife  ;=)
I'm so enjoying playing and writing Seven.  She's a delightful little optimist.

I'm also a fan of Seven and her grichee (which, oddly, reminds me of kimchee).

Hipped and half-hipped are both roofing styles I use.  In fact, I may give you a peek at a roof in the next update  ;=)
Autumn Mena.  Mena is the last name.  No idea why I used that as her name in the first update...I mean...that was a test to see who was paying attention and you totally passed!!

Good lord, this seems like a LOT to keep track of. Super fun, though! Do alien toddlers and infants have a disguise option?
It's a good amount to wrap my mind around, but I blueprinted it ahead of time to decrease the size of my headaches  ;=)
I think children get a disguise option.  Of course, I think Seven is lovely as is, so I intend to just have her run around in all her green glory!  Oh, and she's only half alien, so she may not get a disguise option at all now that I think about it...

Grichee!

Tenacious Rivalry Dynasty--Von Carloff, Week Two
« Reply #35 on: April 09, 2017, 10:23:00 PM »
Pippin:  We rejoin the Von Carloff household where a whole lot of adorable was happening.

Pippin:  Young Bellisima is hard at work trying to max the potty, imagination, and communication skills.
Shana:  That's my girl!
Pippin:  Meantime, Shana is hard at work becoming a master vampire to complete her aspiration.

Bellisima:  Dat mah mama!

Shana:  So, Alice, now that I've stomped you into the ground in our sparring match, how about a selfie?
Alice:  Absolutely!

Pippin:  Indeed, Shana has begun taking a collection of selfies with her girls...

Pippin:  and the obsessed artist hangs them by his easel.
Vlad:  She's so beautiful!
Shana:  It's true.
Pippin:  But Shana is not the only girl who is hugely important to Vlad, and that other girl is having a very important day.

Shana:  Vlad is so lucky the "other girl" is our daughter.
Bellisima:  (Snorty laugh) Oh mom, you're a hoot and a holler.  The classic double threat!
Shana:  Yes.  And you're...quirky.
Bellisima:  Thanks!
Shana:  ...not sure it was a compliment...

Pippin:  Look, she's a little scientist!  A scientist who can't match her socks.
Bellisima:  Eh, at least I got them on the right feet.
Pippin:  ...not sure that's a thing...

Pippin:  And Izumi walked by the house.
Shana:  Stalker.
Pippin:  I am not!
Shana:  I meant her, but your emphatic denial is very convincing.
Bellisima:  (Snorty laugh) That was sarcasm!  She's mocking you!
Pippin:  (sigh) Anyway, young Waffle became a toddler.

Pippin:  Shouldn't this shot have one of his parents holding him?
Shana:  My household, my photo op.

Bellisima:  Photo op again!  We are nailing this!  I'm the one in the glasses, by the way.
Shana:  Yes, sweetie, people know that.
Pippin:  And Belle's other parent...
Bellisima:  "Belle" is short for me!
Pippin:  ...yes, it is.  Anyway, Belle's other parent...
Bellisima:  Still me!
Pippin:  ...helps her with her aspiration.

Bellisima:  You're bad at chess!
Vlad:  That's not actually nice to say.
Bellisima:  True, but lying is also not nice.
Vlad:  ...your glasses aren't flattering.
Bellisima:  You're a bad loser!
Pippin:  In the next shot, you'll see the sizable house, the rocket, and Shana sparring.  That is the whole purpose of this shot.

Bellisima:  (Snorty laugh) He's actually trying to show the roof since Oshizu asked.
Pippin:  How do you know that?
Bellisima:  Mama told me!
Pippin:  Shana!  Stop breaking the fourth wall!
Shana:  Sorry, Pipps, that's just how I roll.
Pippin:  And speaking of how she rolls...

Pippin:  she rolled in from work with another promotion.
Shana:  What can I say?  I'm impressive.
Bellisima:  That outfit is not flattering!
Shana:  Shouldn't you be in bed?
Bellisima:  Yes, but father's bad at his job.
Vlad:  Hey!
Pippin:  And with her promotion, Shana needed to gain a level of fitness.

Shana:  Ugh.  I'm sweating.
Pippin:  And while she was there, she saw a familiar face.

Shana:  If you last longer than one generation, I'll be shocked.
Jaivan:  I'm not even listening.  I'm just trying to avoid looking at Daichi in his towel.
Shana:  (shudders)  Surprisingly, I'm going to agree with you.
Pippin:  But Shana wasn't the only one who was interacting with rival households.

Vlad and Red-haired Izumi:  (warbling awkwardly off key together)
Pippin:  For some reason, Izumi manages to be Vlad's only non-household friend.
Vlad:  Eh, Shana likes me to get inside information on how the rivals are doing.  No days at 5 stars yet.  She'll be delighted.
Izumi:  Hey!  Let's sing "Love Shack" next!
Vlad:  That is so happening!

Pippin:  Oh goodness.  Why does your stalker keep coming around?
Eliza:  Hush, I think his little crush is cute.
Pippin:  Wonder what your husband would say about that?
Bob:  No, she's right.  It's kind of adorable.

Bob:  And it stopped being cute.
Pippin:  Poor Bob.
Eliza:  Psh, more like lucky Bob, having such a beautiful and desirable wife.
Random Vampire Guy:  I'll say.
Bob:  No.  I'll do the saying!

Eliza:  Excellent!  While you guys focus on saying things, we'll focus on fishing.
Pippin:  And their fishing managed to turn up a couple of dragonberry fruits!
Eliza:  It's just called a dragon fruit, Pippin.
Pippin:  (muttering) They called them dragonberries on Dragon Tales.
Bellisima:  That show is for children!
Pippin:  Not helping.

Bellisima:  Oh.  I seem to have been distracted.  Things are catching fire.

Bellisima:  I am fleeing for my life.
Pippin:  But Eliza and Vlad handled the fire.  In fact, numerous things were handled this week, but the week has sadly reached its close.

As we come to the close of an exciting week, Shana has very nearly finished her aspiration, but is only at level 3 of her career.  The garden is only lacking a cow plant and death flower.  The paintings are finished, but the museum is not built.  Belle is halfway through her aspiration...and is delightful.

Oh no!
I was laughing so hard and having such a great time reading this chapter.
And then it came to an end and my heart feels heavy with sadness!  :'(

Before I start discussing your latest update, may I just say that it feels great to have passed your Mena/Autumn test?  Okay,I'm done.

I didn't notice before that Shana has lavender hair in her dark form.
She's really moving ahead with her aspiration!
Bellissima is an adorable bundle of sass! I kinda love how she sasses even Count Vlad with no mercy!

I don't know about Vlad, though. He's out singing "Love Shack" with the red-haired Izumi and claiming to be undercover?
How hilarious that Vlad would even show up at the karaoke bar, though. And who knew he's such a sore loser, dissing his own daughter's glasses, rofl.
One thing about the Rival Dynasties Challenge, seeing what our sims do when we're not controlling them is too funny!
Which remind me, I need to be better about checking my sims' relationship panels.

I love everything about this update but I think your funniest quip was "Bob: And it stopped being cute."

P.S. Thank you for the roofing shot. I am greedy, though, and want to see a multi-angled roofing shot, too!

*End of essay * (I'll write less in the future, pinky promise!)

Yay! Okay, I'm still Team Von Carloff. Belle is adorable. I love every single one of her lines. Waffle is a total cutie, and Shana continues to be beautiful and terrifying. All is as it should be.

Who knew Vlad had such a penchant for karaoke? Get it, buddy! Love Shack is a classic. Good choice.

Eliza and her wandering eye are perplexing, but I somehow can't look away. :)

I just realized that Waffle is actually a Pancake.

Vlad can sing quite nicely once he gets his singing level up. He sounds odd doing jazz, though (or sounds and looks odd).

I can't decide whether Belle or Seven is my favorite, but then Gavin is really cute, too.

I rather enjoy having the random subplot with the Random Vampire Guy.
Vlad has been a fun character to play.
Not sure I really have much in the way of an odd roof shot.  Back when Plipnorp was still around, now that was an awkwardly multi-angled roof!

Yeah, Eliza and Random Vampire Guy are like a train wreck.  I just can't look away.
I'm so glad you enjoyed Belle!  She's a fun little sweetie!
And Love Shack, right?

Belle and Seven are holding even for you, eh?  Good!  That means I'm representing each fairly.  Poor Gavin will not get similar treatment since he must share the spotlight with his siblings  :=)
And yes, Waffle Pancake.  I just couldn't resist.

Tenacious Rivalry Dynasty--Rosenpepper, Week Three
« Reply #40 on: April 16, 2017, 10:55:08 PM »
Pippin:  I rejoin Izumi...I mean...we rejoin the Izumi household...I mean...Rosenpepper household....you know what?  Let's just start the nonsense.

Jaivan:  Hi, honey!  Thanks for letting me mentor you in fitness to advance my career!  Please remember that I love you more than our Watcher does.
Izumi:  That's debatable.
Pippin:  You tell him, girl!  Wait, where is Jaivan going?

Jaivan:  Well, I'm totally not stealing more plasma fruit from Shana's garden if that's what you're implying.
Pippin:  Okay then, I'll just go check back in on my wife...your wife.  My bad.

Pippin:  Awww, look!  She's hitting up that random plantsim for some seeds.  Isn't she awesome?
Plantsim:  Well, I am feeling rather flirty, so...here's a flirty plantsimseed.
Pippin:  That was weird.  Following that, Izumi continues being an awesome mama!

Izumi:  Can you say, "Mama's awesome and beautiful?"
Gavin:  Mamasome bootful!
Izumi: C-l-l-l-lose enough!
Pippin:  Aww, that's so...wait.  In the background.  Is Ishikawa wearing a dress?
Izumi:  I told you they could be girls if they wanted to!

Izumi:  They're my boydaughters!!!
Pippin:  Soooo....is this a thing now?
Izumi:  It totally is!!  You got your me-clones!
Pippin:  Totally not what I had in mind...but they are adorable.
Izumi:  Of course they are!  They're my clones!
Jaivan:  I think the term is "kids," not "clones."
Izumi:  No words, sweetie, just look muscly.

Jaivan:  Okay sweetie.
Izumi:  No!  Those are words!
Jaivan:  ...
Izumi:  That's better.
Pippin:  And in almost no time, Gavin reaches childhood!

Pippin:  Of course, he only barely managed to achieve his toddler requirements before hitting his actual birthday, so the Izumi household almost lost the challenge before the first heir even reached adulthood.
Jaivan:  Rosenpepper household.  It's the Rosenpepper household.
Izumi:  I like "Izumi household."  It sounds so much more sophisticated!
Jaivan:  (sigh)
Pippin:  And young Gavin flings himself bodily into his aspiration.

Jaivan:  Haha, monkey bars!  I shall defeat you!

Jaivan:  And I am the greatest pirate that ever lived!!  You know, this would be more fun if any other children actually showed up.
Pippin:  Well, speaking of other children, Izaiah and Ishikawa come up on their birthdays as well!

Pippin:  And now I'll give them their childhood makeovers...
Izumi:  Nope!  I'm on it!

Izaiah:  We look awesome!
Ishikawa:  We are beauties, just like mom!
Izumi:  Awww, they make me so proud!
Pippin:  There is an off chance school will be challenging for them.

Jaivan:  So, shall we try our little cloning project again?
Izumi:  It was my project, and what did I say about words?
Jaivan:  ...
Izumi:  Good husband!  Now you will be rewarded.
Pippin:  Meantime, Ishikawa decides to work on his social butterfly aspiration by meeting friends at the fishing hole...

Pippin:  when he sees a vampire burning up in the sunlight.
Ishikawa:  Hi, flaming old guy!  I'm Ishikawa!  You should probably come in the house with me.  C'mon!  It's this way.

Pippin:  That's excessively kind of the vampire hunter's child to help out a vampire.
Ishikawa:  Well, mom raised me to be a proper young lady.
Pippin:  ...okay.

Pippin:  Sadly, Vlad collapsed en route.  Poor Bella will be growing up without getting to see her daddy.  Then again, I suppose Shana could always just come over and grab the tombstone and take it back to their house...ghost dad is a thing, right?
Izumi:  Totally a thing!
Splark Six Six.I.Am:  I didn't have a dad.

Izaiah:  Elsa, you sould reign beside me as the evil queen of my Dark World.  You may be the most beautiful girl in the world.
Izumi:  Ahem.
Izaiah:  I mean, the most beautiful girl besides my mom.
Ishikawa:  Dude!  I was totally going to marry her!  I can't believe you're muscling in!
Izaiah:  Umm, you haven't even introduced yourself to her yet, so...
Ishikawa:  (sigh)  We're just star-crossed lovers.
Pippin:  Okay, Romeo, that's enough.

Gavin:  Okay, friends from school and my boysisters, let's play at the park!

Ishikawa:  Time to bust out the big guns!

Izaiah:  One day, I will rule this world!

Gavin:  Oh look.  We came to another park and I'm still just playing on the monkey bars by myself.  It's so much fun being an heir.
Izaiah:  If I were heir, I would abuse that power.
Ishikawa:  If I were air, I would only hope to be the air that dear Elsa breathes.
Pippin:  ...wrong type of heir, but oddly cute...

Jaivan:  BOOM!!  Haha!  Not a vampire!  In your face!  Literally!

Jaivan:  BAM!  Also not a vampire!  In.  Your.  Literal.  Face!!
Izumi:  Sweetie?  You're doing that talking thing again.
Jaivan:  ...
Izumi:  Better!

Ishikawa:  Not a vampire anymore?  I feel so very sad for you.
Amelie:  Aww, thanks, little girl.
Ishikawa:  Girlboy, actually.  And one day, you will be my bride!
Pippin:  Wait...what about Elsa?

Amelie:  Awww, that's cute, kid, but I'm quite a lot older than you.  You won't want to marry me when I'm an old lady.
Ishikawa:  Actually, you're not aging while I am.  One day, my love, I will catch up to you, and that is the day when I shall sweep you off your feet and whisk you away.  Our love will outshine the stars themselves!
Pippin:  No, seriously, what about Elsa?

So, at the end of week three, the garden requirements are completed, Jaivan sadly failed to be promoted, he is three levels shy of maxing fitness, and two out of three vampires have been forcibly cured.  Meantime, Gavin narrowly missed failing at his toddler goals, but has almost completed his childhood aspiration already.

Pippin:  No, really, what about poor Elsa?

I believe Izumi would be Jaivan's wife but Pippin's waifu, hehe.
Wow, Izumi and Jaivan are having more chillun? Is that a challenge-related strategy or more about Pippin's love for Izumi's genes?
Poor Jaivan is just a side character in his own bloodline, LOL.
Their three children are all very lovely! Looking forward to seeing what your plans are for them as teens.

How shocking that Vlad burned up! What will Shana do now?
This rotational gameplay is so dangerous for any vampires without sunlight resistance!!!

With three toddlers in the house until recently, Jaivan must have found it hard to get out to the gym to mentor sims.
Great job on the garden and curing two vampires! Gavin's going to be ready to age up next week, yay!

My vote for ishikawa goes to Amelie! In my previous games, Elsa never grows up to be very attractive but Amelie is already gorgeous.
Wait a minute...if Ishikawa goes for Amelie, who does Gavin have in mind?

Can't wait to find out more!

Ah, vampires burning in the sunlight -- that's why my Sims hardly ever go anywhere during the day. Congrats to Gavin for making it in time! And poor Jaivan, not allowed to say anything in his own challenge.

Oh, no! Vlad! Who will worship Shana now? I guess it'll have to be me! Love you, Shana. I was wondering if vampires from played households would actually burn up when you're not with them, and I guess I have my answer. Yikes!

Your girlboys are precious. Take that, gender conformity!

Good job continuing to be awesome at everything, Izumi! I love this love triangle you have going on, and that the Watcher is part of it. ;)

Good job to Jaivan, too, I suppose. In your literal face! LOL.

I believe Izumi would be Jaivan's wife but Pippin's waifu, hehe.
Wow, Izumi and Jaivan are having more chillun? Is that a challenge-related strategy or more about Pippin's love for Izumi's genes?

Yes, she's my waifu  ;=)
They're not really having more kids.  That was just playful banter.
I'm not sending Jaivan to the gym to mentor Sims, I just have him mentor Izumi.  Of course, she's not allowed to lift weights.  I don't want her getting buff, but I have no issues with slender/tone Izumi  :=)

I'm just glad it was Vlad and not Shana out there fishing or I'd already be down one bloodline!

Thank goodness Shana still has someone to worship her  ;=)  Meantime, I'll be busy worshipping Izumi...I mean...what love triangle?
So glad you enjoy my girlboys.  I'm not sure if they'll do a gender change, cross dress, return to male apparel, or just wear clothes in general while ignoring genders.  Guess I'll just have to see what happens when I get there.

Just out of curiosity, I saved the Rosenpepper household, started a new file with them, and gender swapped all three boys.  None quite become an Izumi clone.

Still, they're rather cute.
