Fourth in the Four: Another Grim Dynasty

Thank you everyone to your replies!  I've been playing with my niece and her MLP or Daniel Tiger toys and playing out Aria's childhood.  Longest two weeks in game time ever.. or so it feels anyway.  I promise more updates soon!

Cassie - Shh Shh Shh. Aunt Cassie has you now, little one. Hush little baby, don't say a word.  Cassie's gonna buy you a mockingbird..  *starts humming*
Addy - Soon you'll be doing that with your own. 
Cassie *groans*  Actually that's going to happen a lot sooner than we both thought..
Addy - Oh? OH!  Umm.  I'll get Artie
Cassie - Thanks.. *puts baby down*  Gotta go cutie.  Going to get your best friend at the hospital. 


Artie - What happened to the other doctor? *checks email waiting for this to happen*
Nurse - After the incident with your wife, she got fired.. or died.  One or the other.  She might have retired.
Cassie - That's nice and all but can we move along.  This is really uncomfortable.
Nurse - Sure Sure.
Addy - Artie get off that computer and get over here.. now.
Artie - I'm coming I'm coming.


Nurse - Ahh! I don't know what's going on..
Artie - You're no better than the other woman was!
Cassie - Artie..
Artie - It's going to be okay Cass.  She will deliver the baby and then she'll be lucky I don't find a way to make her disappear.
Nurse - I'm trying!


Nurse - It's a boy!
Cassie - It is?  I didn't have any names picked out for a boy.
Artie - I know a good one.
Cassie - I'm not naming him Artie.
Artie - No no .. a different one.


Artie - Hello Simonis..
Cassie - You could have let me hold him first you know..
Artie - I named him, I get to snuggle him first.
Cassie - You're something else...


(( and sense my loading screens have started to amazingly start taking more time ))
Reid - *snuggles Simonis for a bit*  Oh you're just the cutest thing..
Addy - Hey put him back.  I need to get the crib into the right bedroom.  Though since Artie held him first.. maybe he should take care of him!
Reid - You know Melody sleeps more than he does..
Addy - I know.  Still funny.  I should make a nursery.
Reid - Yes you should.. but where.
Addy - You and your logical questions..


Bella - Hello little one.  I've been waiting a long time to meet you and you're just too sweet for words.
Artie - Hello grandma.. having fun?
Bella - Mmhm.  I don't always get to meet the grandbabies you know.
Artie - Yeah I know.  Especially in the old days.  Can I take your picture..
Bella - Yes.


Artie - That's a good one.  Okay I'll leave you be now.
Bella - It's time that you and I cuddle for a little while, little guy.  How does that sound? I'm going to tell you about the two men you were named for.
Addy - And I'm going to go watch Aria age up..


Aria - Ta-da!
Addy - You're red!
Aria - Duh.. 
Addy - Hey I don't need any of your sass, young lady.  Get to the closet so we can change your clothes.
No idea where she got the eyes.  I'm going to assume random genetics or Melody's parents until I see her as a teen


Aria - He's so cute.  I hope he stays cute for the wedding
Addy - Who told you that you two were getting married?
Aria - Mommy.  She said that Cassandra was eating carrots once she realized I was a girl so that she could have her son marry me.  I don't think Mommy liked the idea.
Addy - You will marry whoever you want but I'm fairly certain you'll be best friends no matter what. 
Aria - You think so?
Addy - Two kids growing up in a dynasty house.. trust me you'll be close one way or another. 


*Stare at each other*
Aria - It's your move old man.
Artie - I know.  I'm thinking.  I was a chess legend back on Lunar Lakes.
Aria - Yeah you've said that already..
Artie - *Gasp* What is that?!


Aria - *looks over her shoulder*  I don't see anything..
Artie - *swaps a few pieces*  Oh.. I thought I saw an alien
Aria - You're weird, Dad.
Artie - So are you kiddo.


Aria - Check!  In your face old man!
Artie - Wow.. I'm getting beat and I cheated! Let's see here..


Artie - Checkmate! HA- HA.
Aria - What? No.. Oh man..
Artie - Daddy 3.. Aria 0.
Aria - Yeah yeah.  Can I get that story now?
Artie - Of course, Angel. 


Artie - There once was a lady named Bubble / Who loved to get into trouble / like setting fire to her father, King Rubble.
Aria - What's with the rhyming?
Artie - Just listen to the story.
Aria - Fine.
Artie - "You've become something I can't handle. / It's actually quite a scandal / I'm tempted to hit you with my sandal." / Fearful was she for he had big feet / So quickly she tried to retreat / Which only put her back on the hot seat...   
*Two Hours later*
Aria - Wow.. is that what our dynasty is like?
Artie - Of course not. We've only got Aliens right now.  One day you never know.
Aria - So there aren't any trolls in Windenberg..
Artie - Not that I know of. However, if my plan works out.. maybe we can find one to play with when ours is done.
Aria - Awesome!

Look who finally gets to hold her son!
Cassie - *rocking the kid, humming a lullaby*  When you grow up.. you get to do whatever you want, little man.  Mommy, Uncle Alex and Gramma are doing everything we can to get enough potions of youth to last Artie for a while so that you can do whatever makes you happy.  Even Grandpa pushed himself to free up the future.  Don't let them talk you into anything.  Just do what you feel is right.
Addy - I will try to not pressure him.. but you know.
Cassie - Yeah I know.


Addy - That's a big one.
Alex - It is.  Who knew fishing was so relaxing..
Addy - Everyone?
Alex - Shh.  I'm just going to try and bring home a few more angelfish to stockpile in the house.
Addy - Don't worry.  I plan to insinuate that Artie fish eventually.
Alex - You think he will?
Addy - Yeah.. I do.


Artie - *purposefully does not so great*
Bella - *rolls her eyes*
Artie - What?
Bella - C'mon you can do better than that.
Artie - Yes but that's not as much fun.

@Shewolf13 Artie was Lunar Lakes Chess Champ and he's maxed logic.. but nooo he has to cheat against his daughter.  It was hysterical to watch them while they were doing stuff.

@Nettlejuice If he's anything like my family, she'll win when she earns it.    Simonis is actually a double reference.  Or triple references.  Simis for Simis Bachelor, Simon for Simon Goth and Simonis for the son that Cassandra had in my first Grim Dynasty.   (So you don't have to read it) Artie's first one was in Sunset Valley and he invited the Bachelors to live with him and Agnes.  Simis spent his life fishing to get the death fish Agnes needed to put ambrosia in the replicator.  Jocasta the gardener.  Bella was the painter behind Agnes and she had Cassandra (with Morty) the same time that Gellie had generation 3, Alicia. Alicia and Cassandra were best friends and got pregnant within moments of each other to birth Astrea and Simonis who were generation 4 immortal and spouse until Pets killed my game.  I still like the name and all the meaning behind it so I needed to reuse it

Aria - Because that's what happened in Daddy's story.

Artie - Hello little man.  Who's Artie's new favorite non-child huh?  That's right you are..
Addy - I'm gonna be sick.
Artie - Hush woman. 
Addy - Can you tell if it worked yet?
Artie - We have confirmation on one.. Ares hasn't gotten back to me on the other.
Addy - Fun.


Artie -  Fa-la-la-la
Reid - Haha No it's *makes exposion noise*
Artie - I like Baymax's way better.
Reid - Who is Baymax?
Artie - He's this robot--
Addy - Don't listen to him.  He's weird and it's a cartoon from the Watcher zone.
Reid - Uhh yeah.  Okay.  Moving on.


Melody - And the twins never again spoke of the Bus Driver ever again.
Aria - Wow I wish we had bus drivers now.
Melody - All the people who could be bus drivers however are relieved you don't.
Aria - Not going to stop me you know.
Melody - Huh?
Aria - Nothing.


While storytime was ending downstairs.. upstairs our dashing young prince was aging up..
Addy - Oh honey.. let's get you a haircut.
(( So sad he wasn't purple but oh well! ))


Cassie - Oh my sweet little man.  You're all grown up.
Simonis - Well more than I was a little while ago anyway.
Cassie - You know what I meant. 
Simonis - Mom.. you going to let me go.
Cassie - Never.
Simonis - Mom.. I have to pee and if I wet the bed, Gramma is gonna be really upset.
Cassie - Oh.. well okay.


Addy - I just bought that!
Reid - *sniffsniff* You smell something..


Take her eyes and his jaw and you got the werewolf behind them...
Simonis - That does not smell good.
Aria - I didn't get to introduce myself yet.
Simonis - I already know who you are silly.
Aria - Yeah but I need to invite you into the club.
Addy - After you're done running for your lives.


Simonis - I really like coloring.
Addy - That's good.  You know painting is an option when you get older.
Simonis - Not worried about when I'm older.. I like it now.
(( and silly me just figured out you could queue up multiple pictures and they will just draw on top of the last one ))


Artie - By Carl, how did I get up here?!
Addy - *cracks up*
Artie - What did you do?!
Addy - The person at the controls just figured out you could teleport anywhere.. and that's where they chose to put you.
Artie - Stop letting the kids have the controls!


Addy - So.  How does it feel?
Reid - Really good.. I think I want to see people now.  Lots of people.  No more struggling for another bestseller.
Addy - Sounds good.  How about a family visit to the park?
Reid - That sounds awesome.


Aria - Simonis.. will you be my best friend in the whole wide world?
Simonis - Of course I will!
Dominic Huber - I was almost Reid' best friend.
Aria - Uhh.. no one asked you.. shoo.


Addy - What happened to you?
Aria - Some kid on the playground said the Dynasty House was the worst club ever.
Addy - Probably because they can't join.  We're all full.
Aria - I should make my own club.
Addy - Oh and what would that do?
Aria - I could invite the kid from the playground and then kick him out.
Addy - Yes.. you are definitely Artie's child.


Bella - And then what happened?
Simonis - The table blew up!
Bella - Was anyone hurt?
Simonis - Of course not.  It was so awesim though.


Cassie - Let's see how this story starts.
Simonis - Is this the one with the troll princess that beats people with the ugly tree?
Reid - *chokes*
Cassie - No, this is one that Reid wrote about a boy named Larry Planter.


Bella - Haha!  Take that!
Addy - Bella you've been spending too much time playing chess with Artie.
Simonis - Especially since it wasn't even a check or a checkmate..

Oh, that's a lot of history behind Simonis' name and another lovely red head. I had to read the Licious Life State, don't know how I missed it before! The face they're both making with the werewolf behind them was super hilarious. Are the fires caused by the longer incenses? I have the flower shaped ones and so far no fires

Yeah he got Robin's hair. and chin.  We'll see how he evens up as a teenager here soon.  And yes the faces were perfect.  These two are just expressive in ways I hadn't counted on.  As for the fires, I've had it happen with both incenses.  The flower one in the kitchen caught fire and the one I added for Reid's writing caught fire but the two I have in the yoga area?  Not a single spark out of place.  I miss fireproof homestead haha. 

And yes the Licious family was one of my.. more interesting experiments.  I was proud of that speed run in so many ways.  I should remake Dobbie in Sims 4..

Also -- not so silly you. I've been playing this for over 1800 hours (I got to see the time when I updated), and this was the first time I found out that your children could draw on top of the previous picture.

@Shewolf13 The funniest part about this is I named the Club for the household "The Dynasty House" and it never made it into an update but the reason it's named this is because it's the closest Artie can ever get to "kicking someone out of the dynasty house"  Now.. will that come into play later?  Possibly.. this is only generation 2 after all.

I've been really lucky with pausing to certain expressions haha.  I had all the adults going upstairs to put out the fire and the kids were running downstairs from their introduction.

Make sure the table is empty and that you queue them up before they sit down maybe?  That seems to be what works for me and I've done it a few times in an old file just to confirm.  Worked for both Aria and Simonis

I enjoyed the references to the Licious Dynasty. A throwback to a simpler (?) time...though if a TS4 Dobbie is a possibility, I need to see it.

I love Aria. She's just the devious little girl I'd expect Artie to have.

Aria is definitely perfectly a female Artie.  She's really cute all red like that and a perfect foil for Simonis.  It would be interesting to see what would happen if the two of them hook up when they are YA.  Loving the story with all it's funny parts.

Oh wow! It wouldn't be a Sim Dynasty without at least 1 fire lol I've also had it happen with both, and totally randomly too. I find that you can't leave the general area with one burning without causing a fire.

Yup, Aria is definitely a chip off the "old" Artie block ;-D I also didn't know about the queuing action *learns something at half 12 at night*
