This is still a very problematic bug. Try the troubleshooting tips in this post and the post below to see if any of them help your game.

Did a follow-up search on this problem and found that this has been reported as a bug, several times. This seems to be a fairly common problem.

[INFO REQUEST] Houses/Lots Disappear
http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/INFO-REQUEST-Houses-Lots-disappear/m-p/4620279#U4620279

If you find you have this bug, please go over to answer.ea.com using the link above and click the Me Too button. --  Clicking the Me Too button for it helps get it some attention. ** Optional: Explain your experience with the bug.

Questions:

1. Are you using custom content or mods? *
2. Are you using any cheats, such as MoveObjects On?
3. Does this problem occur in a new game?
4. Does going back to a previous game save help?

* If you have any mods/cc move the mods folder to the desktop to help troubleshoot the issue. As mods/cc can really mess up a game. Make it not work correctly.

Possible solutions are:

1. Do not save your game in this state. -- Quit and exit out of the game and reload it.

2. If you've saved your house/lot to your library or the gallery, try bulldozing the lot and placing it again.

3.) Try going back to a previous save. How-To: Restore a Saved Game
- This looks to be the best option, from what I've been able to search out.

-- Other helpful tips are in the post below, in the 2nd post.

** Note: ** Sometimes Crinrict asks players to share their save games with her/EA. Please only provide your save games when asked to do so.

Here are some troubleshooting tips to try:

--- Try a Sims 4 Factory Reset

--- Rename the Auto-Save File
How-To: Rename the Auto-Save File

--- It's also been suggested to delete the Scratch subfolder from inside Saves. - Do this after saving a copy of the Sims 4 folder.

--- Delete Game and Origin Cache Files

--- Start a New game, as a test to see if it happens in a new game as well.

** If trying a new game to test, it's recommended to completely exit out of Sims 4, then load the game again and start a new game. As it seems, some bugs are contagious to other save games if you don't restart the game.

It's also recommended to make a backup copy of your Sims 4 folder, just in case it may be needed later.

Move your Mods folder to the desktop or some where safe.

--- Repair the Game - Right Click on the game and select Repair Game.

As a last resort, uninstall the game, run Ccleaner's registry cleaner, and reinstall. - More information in the link below.
