Chapter Nine: The Wedding
Dear Nettie,
The first thing Mitchy did was get that much needed makeover.
How do I look, babe?
Sexy.I rang up the 'rents and Mum actually screamed with joy and then said some curse words I did not expect. Aimed at you, of course. Then I arranged the wedding party with the planner.
Granny Summer and Grampy J arrived first and I was pleased to see they couldn't take their eyes off each other.
Grunkle Geoff distracted Zoe with mindless chatter - I hear she also had a 'relationship' with my grandfather.
No time could be wasted and some rude guests were getting impatient so Mitchell and I hurried to the arch.
Yours is the light by which my spirit's born: - you are my sun, my moon, and all my stars.*
I'm not one to get all mushy, but I'll admit I missed my family and wished they could have been there as their real selves and it hurt to see Grampy Gavin walking off towards the cake without so much as a 'Congrats, kiddo'.
Uh, Kes, I didn't really think you'd take dieting this seriously.
The cake is invisible, I'm really eating it. *noms*
Great job, Mal! *thumbs up*
NJ: Psst! Do you really need another slice? You'll end up like Janet...
Kessy: Shush, you. Don't ruin my big day.
With all the guests stuffed full of cake and getting juiced, Mitchy and I snuck into the
Falcon II for a short trip to the moon.
Love, Kessy H Chant
