CareersPromotionsGetting Promotions in Sims 4 Relies a lot on Emotions. To find what the ideal emotion is for your current job go over the the word Performance or the performance bar while in the Career info Area (J)
In the example above the "Ideal Mood" is Playful for the Comedy branch of the Entertainer Career. Going to work in a playful mood will increase your performance faster and lead to promotions faster. Although decorative items in the house will help with that try to stick to the items that give you a few hour bonus so you can actually arrive to work in the mood.
